(A companion fic to "Walk the Line". GyJo.) This is an alternative timeline of events, where alternative!Gyro's plan succeeded. More or less. (You don't need to finish Walk the Line to read this, but you should at least read chapter 1 and 2.)

In a world where Johnny Joestar has already been killed by the president, Gyro is doing his best to move on. But it's hard when you're suddenly taken and wake up in a place that look just the same as the one you left, with the exception that somehow, Johnny is still alive. And so is another version of yourself, apparently. Of course, Gyro would be a fool to let this opportunity go.

Johnny's bad luck is catching up to him. He can feel it. Soon, he's going to pay. But he'll do his damnedest to make sure Gyro isn't dragged down with him. He just need to learn how to let go. (Sequel to my other story, "Our Way of Life". I recommend you read that before you read this, in case you haven't already.) GyJo
