Ellielovesicecream. Yup. That's my username. If I could change it I would, but I can't and the wheels are rolling, so I guess I'm here for the full ride :)

So, as I'm sure you can tell by my, frankly, humiliating username, my name is Ellie. I am 17, aaaand kind of a nerd. Shocker. Anyway, I have always been an avid reader, from a very young age, and this led to discovering my love of writing. When I was a kid I used to write short stories, and dream about getting them published- safe to say, they were categorically, textbook case, nightmare-worthy, cringe inducing, gosh darn awful. However, as all over eager children do, I kept on writing and have grown up to be... marginally less terrible. Marginally. Despite this, it is still a closely held dream of mine to be an author one day, but being a Sixth Form student, now heading into Upper Sixth, I don't have the time to write full time... and thus, here I am.

Books I love... this is something I often see on people's bio's. It is also something that I struggle with, because if I were to write every book that I have or do love, we would be here forever! But, to compile a few, I would have to say anything by Sylvia Plath, any an all plays, Greek through to Shakespeare. I have to admit that I have a weakness for anything old- The Odyssey, The Illiad, other work by Homer, Sophocles, Aristotle and particularly Plato. I also have a fascination of Arthurian Legends, and have read a great many different versions, from modern re-tellings to eleventh century Geoffrey of Monmoth (though translating the Latin to English was somewhat of a nightmare- and probably not very accurate at all!).

Things that interfere with my writing... are fairly numerous. I attend Sixth Form at my local school, where I have an undeniably full timetable, studying History, English Literature, English Language, Philosophy, Beliefs and Ethics, and Politics. I also take part in a number of super-curriculars, as well as many extra-curriculars. As you can imagine, I have very little time on my hands.

Unique fact about me... another thing I have seen on other people's bios. I am to be a subject in a new medical research trial, as I have an illness called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), which is a multi-system disease that causes dysfunction of the neurological, immune, endocrine and energy metabolism systems. People with ME experience a substantial loss of physical or cognitive functioning, but there is a spectrum of severity. This, again, can slow up the process of my writing.

Oh, my stories may or may not be very good. Please remember that I am, in all honesty, an idiot. So please don't abuse me; I apologise now. I also don't have a beta, and I struggle with technology, so while there are unlikely to be too many grammatical errors, there may be some technical ones.

Now, I feel like I have rattled on plenty enough. It was only today that I realised I had not updated my profile bio since 2016, and my friend gave me a stern talking to until I sat down and corrected it! But- enough with that. On with the show, and Tally-ho!

8th June 2020: I have recently updated STMS, but there has been a little confusion over the change in chapter numbers. All that happened was that I deleted an interlude I had posted as a chapter in 2018, which brought the chapter count down from 37 to 36, thus relabelling some of the chapters. I hope this clears things up for people! I am also thinking about making a Pintrest account to accompany this account... pm me if you'd be interested!

30th June 2020: The next chapter of STMS is on the way! Just needs a little bit of editing. I have also recently added the first chapter of a short story too, I hope you enjoy it! More to follow soon.

7th July 2020: Chapter 37 of STMS is now up, as well as the second chapter of TCTOTV! I hope you enjoy.

11th July 2020: Chapter 3 of TCTOTV is now up.

19th July 2020: Chapter 4 of TCTOTV is now up... a day late (sorry!). I am still having trouble receiving and displaying reviews to those of you who have left me lovely messages, on both STMS and TCTOTV, I haven't ignored them, I get them via email, but because the site is glitchy they won't show up, hence why I have been unable to thank you for them personally! Anyway, I hope you enjoy the chapter!

26th July 2020: Chapter 5 of TCTOTV is now up. Chapter 38 of STMS is ready to go, and will be updated on the 7th of August, as per the normal update date!

1st August 2020: Chapter 6 of TCTOTV is now up. The final chapter will be posted on Saturday.

7th August 2020: Chapter 38 of STMS is now up.

19th August 2020: Just a reminder that STMS is updated every month on the 7th, to a couple of people who have been asking- hope this helps! I will add a reminder to the beginning of the next chapter as well.

25th August 2020: Just to let everyone know, I have started rewriting the original chapters of STMS, as I feel that they need improving and updating since I first wrote them when I was 14- so if you get a notification that the story has been updated, and there is no new content, that is all it is! Nothing will change plot wise, so if you have already read those chapters, you do not need to go back and read them. I have also amended the description to say that updates will occur once a month- I hope this helps!
