Author has written 16 stories for Gundam Seed. NOTICE Hi Everyone, it's me again. I just wanted to mention that I do have a blog (not very frequently updated, and it's not GSD fanfics but just spur of the moment short stories). Just thought I'd post it in case anyone was interested. The link is: Update 10/30/2011 So here I am, a day after Athrun's Birthday, posting again. Why? Well there have been some very supportive fans who have really wanted to see stories updated. I told myself if I reached a certain number of requests I would do it, and today I reached that number. Thus I have posted everything that I had written about 5 years ago that would have ended my stories, as well as a general summary of plot points until the ending. It's not what I originally hoped I could do, but it is good enough for me in terms of closure. Thank you everyone for your support. AS OF 6/7/08 I AM RETIRED So, I figure that I a lot of people might want to know where I disappeared for two years, considered I'd been pretty good about updated regularly in the past. Well essentially I started college and got very very busy. Due to popular request, I've decided to try to update the last new stories I was working on. These include, Neighbors, To Pluck and Honest Rose, and Matchmeddling. These posts will mostly be a mix of chunks of chapters and bits of paragraphs I've laid out, and attempted to make as coherent as possible. Since I had an ending planned for all of these stories, I will consider them complete that that point. I've moved on from GSD fandom and so it's difficult for me to write things that I am satisfied with, which for me, is very important. Also I don't have the time I used to anymore. Writing fanfiction was very very fun, and I loved every minute of it. Hearing everyone's responses was always a highlight of my days and I am still absolutely delighted that so many people ended up liking my work. Thank you all for a wonderful run, Periodic-Prose. Weird author interview thingamabob... (Version 2.0) How often do you update? Whenever I can. Unfortunately, I can't guarantee anything anymore. College has started, and so I'm really rushed. How long are your average chapters? Depending on the type of story, it can range from only 900 (The Brightest Rose) to almost 4500 (Waiting On You). I've written spur of the moment blurbs that are only about 200 words too. In general I either like to have it long and fulfilling, or short but sweet. =) How long does it take to write a chapter? To write? Depending on how sleepy I am, and how badly I write. I haven't really sat down to write for a long chunk of time for a while now, so it's hard to judge. I'd say maybe 2 to 2 and a half hours, with editing taking another 15-30 minutes. Can I use your work/put it on my website? Sure, I'd be happy to have it added! All I ask is that you still contact me (via e-mail or PM, both of which can be done from this page), and give me a link to the website first. Then credit me on the site (ie. provide my e-mail, or some for on contact information) and that's it. I'd still like to reserve the right to ask that any of my work be taken down, if I don't feel comfortable having it up there anymore though. I think this story is a lot like _ Well I draw a lot of influence from other literature I read, obviously, but I try to make everything original by adding something new. If you feel like it's just something else regurgitated with different names, please tell me so though. Also, if there is something out there that is frighteningly similar to something I have written, (identical wording/phrases, plot line, etc.), that was created/posted after my story was,and does not give any reference towards me, please notify me ASAP through e-mail or PM. Out of your stories, which one(s) do you like most? That's an interesting question. Honestly, I think I'd have to say "Blush and Smile". I'm rather attached to it, since it was my first one. Also, I feel like I kept people the most in character in that. In terms of one-shots, I have so many of them I can't really keep track. All of my one-shots were spur of the moment, so I like all of them equally. It's always interesting to hear what other people think about them though, and why they enjoy one more than another. Favorite Authors? I like a lot of classical and British literature. Off the top of my head, Dickens, Jane Austen, Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, Hardy, etc. In terms of more modern literature, Haruki Murakami is wonderful and I encourage everyone to read his work. I've read pretty much everything he's ever written and love almost all of it. Norwegian Wood is one of the mos beautiful novels I've ever read. Of course J.K Rowling and the perpetually entertaining Harry Potter series as well. I've also enjoyed a good deal of Dan Brown's work, though I confess I haven't read it in quite some time. Any other questions? Post them in a review or e-mail me. |
