Just meh. "S'mae. This is the Toa of Science Fiction: true-blue eccentric, lazy perfectionist, verbose moron and fan of quite a few things. There's a whole list down below, both to show and recommend some stuff I'd like to think I've been inspired by. Current projects include a supernatural/apocalyptic Transformers series, a Legends-esque Star Wars Sequel reimagiming, whatever else tickles me fancy. Problem is, do you ever have ideas that you think up at least a hundred times faster than you can write them and you just go and go and go and plot them and think them through without ever writing them and just do whatever you can to retain that knowledge so that you'll stay interested until you actually have time to write it but you never do because you're already jumping onto the next idea because it looks better and writing it comes more naturally at first? I've been writing since I was maybe seven or eight, but in terms of writing projects not much gets done, which I've been trying to conquer pretty much my whole life. And I write about robots and more recently some form of the supernatural. Also, most modern fiction writers and big movies are kinda crap from my view, but of course songs with choruses and unsharpened pencils have similar effects on me, so I'm definitely just absurdly picky. : ) Also posting multiple chapters a week as of now, and I enjoy conversations with people who read my stories and have a lot to say, good and bad. Do with this information what you will. I actually make it a responsibility to reply to pretty much every review and PM, so keep that in mind as well. If you review or PM and you're not just mindless spam, you're getting a long-winded response. Anyway, forget my ramblings and enjoy what fanfiction has to offer you, which might or might not include what I'm writing, but regardless have fun." - The Toa of Science Fiction :-{ ) And now come the things I'd say I'm a fan of: Musicians (Solo artists, bands and session musicians) David Bowie, Swans, Nate Wood/fOUR, Chris Punch Brothers, The Dead South, Kraftwerk, Radiohead, King Crimson, Jon Gomm, Angelo Badalamenti/David Lynch/Thought Gang, Motörhead, Gary Numan, Hildur Guđnadóttir Film Directors Quentin Tarantino, David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick, Christopher Nolan, Michael Bay, Guillermo del Toro, Andrei Tarkovsky, Sergio Leone TV(/web) Series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Psych, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Twin Peaks, Bionicle: Hearts of Vengeance, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica 2003, Invader Zim, Marvel's Legion, House M.D., Davies-era Doctor Who, Beast Wars, Beast Wars II, Transformers: Victory, If the Emperor Had a Text-to-Speech Device, Gundam Build Fighters, Iron Blooded Orphans, UC Gundam, Altered Carbon, Watchmen, Gurren Lagann Books & Stuff Stephen King, Isaac Asimov, Louis L'amour, Greg Farshtey's Hero Factory and Bionicle books, Star Wars EU, iffy on Frank Herbert's Dune but it has some incredible ideas CURRENT PROJECTS While by a longshot not every idea is a good idea, thinking one out too much leads to the delusion that something can come of it. That means story ideas are generated left and right for no other discernible reason than "I thought about it". This leads to a string of project ideas big and small, most of which will never see the light of day and some that I'll do everything I can to see to completion. "These are their stories..." [NO DEFINITE UPCOMINGS BECAUSE BRAIN SAYS NO MORE] So instead I'll explain my current projects in depth for all... six of you listening? Sure. Let's go. TRANSFORMERS: ADAPTO SAPIENS Imagine an alternate history. Transformers in a different shape than you might've ever seen them, fueled by TFwiki history lessons, my favorite music and David Lynch's very existence. Some OCs mixed in with reimagined staple characters like Prowl, Starscream, Devastator and Optimus Prime, and some more obscure ones: Thunderwing, Junko Shiragami/Kelly, and some other properties, namely G.I. Joe and M.A.S.K, plus possibly some more others. It's gonna get weird. Not sure what all will end up happening with this project, but the base five entries are set in stone and being written now. Hope you don't mind screenplays! STAR WARS: She Awakens / She Daydreams / She Cries Basically, a semi-gothic Star Wars sequel trilogy featuring gore, cosmic horror, and some horrible mishmash of Disney and Legends. That's pretty much it. WATCHMEN: Losing the West A rewrite of the Watchmen finale, nothing special. TRANSFORMERS: TRUTHSPEAKER Supposedly, a teleplay series about the early days of a different Cybertronian war, immediately after the last Quintessons are ejected from the planet. Of course, what's the Transformers world without some anarchy - and anarchists? So, that's about it. In refrain of the statement previous, fanfiction has a lot to offer for a lot of reasons; enjoy it, hate it, learn from it, have fun reading and writing. And have a nice day. End bloated writer's profile. |
