Author has written 2 stories for Jedi Knight. Last updated 11/3/05 Upcoming Project Star Wars: Jedi Academy: Phoenix The dust in the tomb of Marka Ragnos has barely settled when a new conflict arises out of the ashes. A strange entity calling himself The Man has assumed leadership of the remnants of Tavion’s cult. He’s smart, he knows more about his enemies than his predecessors, and he has patience. With the help of his crafty second-in-command, he begins disrupting the Jedi ranks from within. As the Jedi are trying to counter this new threat, Jaden Korr deals with her own issues. She may not have killed Rosh on Taspir III, but the dark side has not completely left her. Her problems are multiplied when Kyle takes on a new apprentice, Kolaian, to replace her. But this student isn’t just any Jedi hopeful; he’s a captured Dark Jedi who served Tavion. And this rebellious young man seems to be bent on destroying Jaden’s friendships. When Kyle is not keeping Kolaian, Rosh, and Jaden from killing each other, he’s trying to repair his damaged relationship with Jan Ors. After Kyle became a Jedi Master, he became so busy that he and Jan just drifted apart. Now after two years of no contact, she’s back in his life to help him on this mission, and she’s not very happy that she was relegated to second place in Kyle’s list of priorities. The only thing that is keeping from deleting this one all together is the wonderful dialogue from which I have received many nice comments. An Apple for the Teacher - On hold. My problem with this one is that every time I try to write something, it turns out to be a Rosh-bashing fest. Which is not what I intended. Don't worry, I have several good ideas, and I'll eventually write them, but with my efforts focused on Phoenix, a new chapter for this story will not be avaliable for quite a while. Story Promotion Center Coming soon! Writing tip of the Week: Start your story off with a bang. The first few paragraphs of your story are critical if you want to attract readers. So begin your story with something interesting that will keep your reader reading. Snare your reader immediately. For example. I will share with you the first paragraph of my upcoming story Phoenix. “The Man folded his hands together and cracked his knuckles languorously. Toua shivered in delight at the sound of snapping bones. She loved it when he did that.” Creepy, isn’t it? Would you want to keep reading? (Please say “yes.”) Your reader wants a reason to click that "back" button. Don't give them that reason. Some great links for finding writing tools: |
