Em. Nineteen. Student.

As evidenced by my new avatar, I'm all about the Doctor Who these days. Specifically Ten and Rose. And Ten/Rose. They're just so CUTE. :D

A somewhat important detail is that school tends to take over my life for long periods of time. I don't like having works in progress because I'm a very sporadic updater.

Completed Stories:

The Bonds That Break (Harry Potter): Ever since Petunia let slip that she knew about dementors in Order of the Phoenix, I didn't believe that she hated Lily from the moment she got her Hogwarts letter. After all, Petunia never came out and said that, she only made it seem like it in Philosopher's Stone. This is my take on their story, and the real reason that Petunia seems to hate Lily. Pre-Deathly Hallows.

North and South (Grey's Anatomy): An Addison-centric story. The original idea for it was inspired by the U2 song "New York". The story chronicles Addison's life from her childhood to her forties, and focuses on how one event shaped the person she became. It's also about her relationship to New York City and why she doesn't go back after leaving Seattle.

Staring at the Sun (Veronica Mars): My lack of actual free time last semester left me feeling like writing a lot of the time. Probably because I knew that I shouldn't be. I really liked this story because a) writing drabbles is an addiction and b) I was able to write very small parts of it at a time, whenever I had time. I've also been in serious need of closure ever since the less than stellar series finale last spring.

Newton's Methods (Veronica Mars): The idea for this struck me when I was studying for my calculus final. It literally is the mathematics of the life of Veronica Mars. Be warned that it's very weird, and probably a little self-indulgent. It may only be enjoyed by people who also love math, but I hope that others can find some fun in it.

Works in Progress:

M is for Marauders (Harry Potter): A story borne of my insomnia and writer's block. Twenty-six drabbles; one for each letter of the alphabet. Marauders era. This is a short story that's been going on for a long time, and unfortunately, it will probably continue at a slow pace.

Update 02/28/10: Am still so, so sorry about not updating this (especially since it's almost finished). Finishing will happen at some point in the next few months though :).
