Hey there!

I am a 30-year-old who has no idea what I'm doing on the internet! Weee! Seriously, give me another few years and I'll have reached grandma levels of confusion. Anywho, here I am messing around with this site like I know what's up.

Basically, I'm an introverted hippy-geeky nature-nerd who resides in a little house in Ohio, USA, with my dog, kitty, and 3 fat goldfish. My username stems (Stem! Get it? Grass stem?...I'll see myself out) from my favorite prairie grass, Little Bluestem (Schizachyrium scoparium). I work at a used bookstore where I'm surrounded by meme-spouting nerds, which is great. I have a Spockish attitude towards nature; I will gladly hold a handful of cranefly larvae while up to my knees in mud and think 'fascinating'. I form obsessions pretty easily and never let them go. Some might rotate to the back-burner for a while, but they all circle round again eventually. Here're some of my favorite things:
