Johanna Mason's never been one to care what other people think, so why should she respect Finnick's wishes, if ignoring them means saving his life?

Hunted by the Capitol, unable to fight back with a weapon, Annie Cresta has to find a way of making her own contributions to the rebellion. Fortunately, she has plenty of help.

Casting off his celebrity persona, Finnick strives to be taken seriously as a revolutionary. But not everyone's convinced the ex-playboy was putting on an act all those years. Cashmere, waking up alone in the midst of a revolution she never dreamed of, has to keep from being used as a hostage, adjust to a whole new world, and figure out whose side she's on.

Finnick volunteers for the Quarter Quell, confident he and Mags can protect Katniss. But who could have predicted Peeta would volunteer? Meanwhile, Cashmere is just hoping she has what it takes not to disgrace her district or outlive her brother. When Finnick offers her a way out, she has to decide if it's worth the cost.

After her stroke, Mags isn't expecting to live to see the revolution. Finnick is prepared to pay any price for her life, even if it means marrying a Capitolite and never seeing Mags, Annie, or District Four again.
