![]() Author has written 29 stories for Harry Potter, and Outsiders. Hi all. I'm Laura, a 6th generation Texan (don't judge, Texas is awesome) and I'm 19. I write fanfiction for Harry Potter and The Outsiders. Usually I write one shots, just because they're so nice and neat and have so much that the mind can do, but without dragging it all out. I have read the whole Twilight series, and it was pretty good. No Harry Potter, sorry. As for the the last book...well, we won't go there. I'm toying with posting a Twilight fanfiction, but there will be a definite difference than the books: Bella will have a reason to live besides a man. I'm sorry, but no person, male or female, should exist for the sole reason of being around someone else. Some of my stories on here, I still really like. Others, I am constantly considering taking down and erasing from the memory banks. A few have gotten amazing reviews, and others have been flamed, flamed, flamed. Yet I stand by them all. Don't really know why, I guess I just want people to see my evolution as a writer. As far as the one that's probably gotten the worst response, the one shot Out Alone, all I have to say is sometimes, the main character isn't someone you want to be your best friend. In fact, if you don't look at characters and say "Holy crap, what the hell is wrong with you?" sometimes, then you need to get yourself out of Mary-Sue-ville. Occasionally, a few of us crazy folks create characters that are supposed to be pitied, disgusting, horrible, down in the dumps and the one person you want to pick up and shake all at the same time. As far as my personality goes...I'm pretty much the most impulsive person you'll ever meet, but have trained myself to follow through. I'm rather paradoxical. I'm a history education major and plan on being a high school teacher. There are several reasons for this, but one very important one: high school sucks. Seriously, it does. And too many teachers are convinced that those years are the best and no high school student truly understands hardship. And history is often written off as "boring" when it's fascinating, at least to people like me. Even though everyone's dead. My hobbies include reading (duh), movies (I was actually named after one), and baking (especially cupcakes). If you wanna contact me in a way other than reviews, lemme know, and I'll give you my email, the one on here is the one I never check that was made in seventh grade. |
