Chloe hears Beca's song on the radio and calls her after years of silence between the two after life came between them.

Beca gets sent away to a horse ranch, Hoofbeat, as a last chance due to her recent rebellious behavior. There she meets Chloe Beale, who changes Beca's rule of 'everyone's temporary'.

Bechloe. AU. Beca meets Chloe at her new job. Feeling isolated in a big city full of nameless faces, the two of them float along their lives hoping to find something more. Neither thought they would find it sitting next to them.

Beca discovered the pattern during her freshman year at Barden. The first time, she'd had no idea where to look or how to respond to the naked woman standing in front of her, so she did what any sexually confused college student would do. Nod, agree and get the heck out.

"I wonder how many there are." Chloe says, pointing up with her finger. She starts to count, moving her finger every time she does, and Beca smiles as she watches her. Set after PP2 graduation: The Bellas go out and sing karaoke to celebrate, causing a certain redhead to not-so-subtly hint that she's into a small brunette. Will Beca be able to sort out her feelings for Chloe?

Beca doesn't really understand why people have opinions on aspects of her life and categories to fit her in. She's not into labels. Except maybe having 'producer' under her name one day. She particularly doesn't understand opinions on her love life. But this is Fat Amy and she just sort of blurts things outs and Beca's pretty used to it by now so she's not too offended.

"I mean, I'm a single mom, with a five-year-old son who also happens to be deaf and I work two jobs. But, you know, I'm fine." Beca's social worker asks her to take sign language classes. Beca doesn't think she needs sign language classes. That is, until she meets the adorable redheaded teacher. Eventual Bechloe. Multi-chapter. AU.

Chloe is Beca's exception to most of the rules she's set herself in life. Which isn't anywhere near as difficult for Beca to accept as it should be.

Beca and her father made a deal that if she really gave Barden a shot, he'd fund her move to LA at the end of the school year. She only has a few months left to convince him that she did try. Which means Chloe only has a few months to convince Beca to stay. Slight AU retelling of the movie so that BeChloe are canon.

Beca KNOWS she can be better than Tom, she wouldn't even need a second chance. Everyone else seems to know it, she just has to get Chloe to realize it too.

Chloe can't handle speaking at all, because words – simple words, uttered earnestly through her best friend's lips, paired with a kind of vulnerability Chloe had never borne witness to, not in anyone, not in Beca – are exactly how Chloe had ended up here.

When Beca gets a rather panicked call from Chloe begging for help with her Biology final, she runs to the rescue only to find out that Chloe has a rather... hands on approach to learning.

"Stop deflecting, smartarse," Luke said, his voice taking on a solemn tone. "You need to talk to her and figure out your own shit first. It's not nearly as complicated as you're making it. You either love her or you don't. There's no in between..."

It had been five years since they'd seen one another last, and in that space of time a whole lot can change. Something a simple as a text however can leave everything upside down again, and leave Beca questioning who she really is.
