![]() Author has written 5 stories for Pokémon. It's been years since I've last written and published fanfiction, and I've never done it before on FanFiction.net. Some time ago, a friend asked me whatever happened to my stories and why I stopped writing, and I really didn't have an answer, other than "I got caught up in studies, dancing, work and a relationship." So fanfiction was left in the drawer of my desk, and those I once had published on the web, I couldn't find anymore. The site they were uploaded on doesn't exist anymore. Maybe they could be found in the web archives, but I had no luck there. Which probably was for the best, my English must have been horrible. It's not my native language after all. Back then, I didn't even have spell check, which I now fortunately do. The same friend that brought up my fanfiction writing ushered me to jump into it again. I had written mostly adventure stories before, but didn't feel confident enough to jump into writing a 100-page long Pokémon journey right from the (new) start, so I opened my drawer of old ideas and scanned through them. I once came up with a people, called the Timeless, which I used as a kind of "trademark" in my stories, but their background varied, depending on the fictional universe I fit them into. In Pokémon stories they were descendants of Dialga; in Harry Potter stories they were referred to as the Ancients; in the world of Final Fantasy IX they were ancestors to the Summoner tribe, and so forth. The Timeless are a group of people that at some point in their life stops aging, unaffected by the flow of time. My thought was that most of them stopped at some point between the age of 30 and 50, making 40 the Gaussian peak in this case. This means there are a few Timeless unfortunate enough to have stopped becoming affected by the flow of time as children or at older age (80 being the oldest, if 40 is the peak). I would like to "revive" the Timeless people as OC:s in my stories somehow, because I had established a few characters in the notes I found in my drawer, and thought it would be nice to see if they are in any way applicable today. I wrote mostly OC stories back then, and I will be continuing in the same manner. I don't do slash fiction, because I don't think I could do it justice. I do, however, admire those who can. Since I'm not comfortable enough to jump into the world of long adventure stories just yet, I will start off with a few one-shots and see how it's going. My English might be a little rusty too, so I need to start with shorter texts to build up a more rich vocabulary. ...well then, hope you enjoy! |
