Author has written 3 stories for Five Nights at Freddy´s, Dead Space, and Dungeons and Dragons. July 30, 2020 My internship is finally over! It was fun, but I'm so happy to go back to school soon. Hopefully it also means I can work harder on writing. -0- Where to Find Me DeviantArt: AnInvisibleMan AO3: PyroFox117 FurAffinity: AnInvisibleMan Discord: AnInvisibleMan #8177 Xbox Live: InvisibleMan745 Ko-Fi: AnInvisibleMan Twitter: @AnInvisibleMan3 For that last one, please don't feel like I'm demanding money; I write because I love it, and that will (hopefully) never change. However, if you decide to throw a dollar my way, I will be extremely grateful and may even start a list of people who have donated. A little about me. I'm a 22-year-old guy who was and was born and raised in the great state of Missouri; some people think that means I talk like a cowboy, but I'm not really country. Currently, I'm a Senior in college at a public university. I'm asexual and aromantic, which might surprise a lot of you, considering I write romance. It's something I enjoy but never really want to experience personally... though I admit that only applies to humans. If anthropomorphic animals or aliens or whatever were real, my love life might be a lot more exciting. Yeah, I'm one of those people. Cross-species romance is my jam (usually Male Human X Female Non-Human) and one of the biggest reasons I write. I'm also Muslim. This is just one shock after another, right? I converted to Islam last year for reasons really too complicated and personal to explain here - suffice it to say, it's just right for me, and it makes me happy despite some difficulties. For example, I have no idea how I'll break it to my Christian parents, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Additionally, I'm trying to integrate religion into my stories; they are about ordinary people confronting the supernatural, and that would change anyone's perception of God. That's something I think a lot of authors on this site shy away from doing, so I'll take a good crack at it. I just hope I don't come across as preachy. I'm trying to get into publishing, as it combines a lot of my interests and is one of the more exciting things to do as an English major. I thinking writing fan fiction has actually helped prepare me for that, as it's honed my editing and proofreading skills. I honestly don't care if I end up working at Walmart, though. There's are many things more important to me than a job, and this is one of them! I'm pretty liberal in my political views, but we'll probably get along fine; I try to stay friendly with just about everyone. Finally, I'm an Eagle Scout, which I am extremely proud of; earning that made me the hard worker I try to be. Most of my stories tend to be sprawling, multi-part epics that are still centered on a primary cast of characters, nearly always with the aforementioned interspecies romance at the heart. There's drama, intrigue and action! These will hopefully be hundreds of thousands of words long. Sometimes, though, I like to do smaller one-shots or two-shots for materials that don't lend themselves to this formula. Not much middle ground for me; it'll either be a quickie or something enormous. If you have any questions about me or my work, feel free to send a PM. I don't bite! Now, onto the fun stuff. Favorite Movies: This is a tough one... I love all sorts of films, so I'll break it down by category. Action: Pacific Rim Comedy: Venom (not intentionally funny, but still hilarious) Crime: Ocean's 11 Drama: The Graduate Fantasy: Any of the LotR or Hobbit movies (which I think are extremely underrated) Horror: The Thing Romance: The Shape of Water Sci-Fi: Wizards Superhero: Avengers: Endgame Thriller: Blue Velvet Western: McCabe & Mrs. Miller Favorite Games: Also pretty tough, because video games are a great hobby of mine. FPS: Halo 3 TPS: Mass Effect series Horror: Dead Space 2 Puzzle: Portal 2 RPG: Skyrim or Mass Effect, it's too close to call Stealth: Dishonored Adventure: Pokémon Ruby (Are Pokémon games adventure? I don't really know.) Rouge-like: Pokémon: Mystery Dungeon series 4X: Distant Worlds (Not many people have heard of Distant Worlds, but it's absolutely amazing. If you have 60 dollars and a decent computer, I strongly recommend checking it out.) Other: Meteos Favorite Books/Writers: I'm not a huge fan of reading. I know, I know, what kind of author doesn't like reading? Me. I try to do it at least a little every month, but it's hard for me to find books that hold my attention. Fanfiction, of course, is always interesting, but I'm afraid I'll read one that's particularly original or cool and accidentally plagiarize it. Still, there are a few exceptions. Fantasy: LotR Trilogy (obvious, yes) Sci-Fi: Till A' the Seas (short story) Teens-Brutally-Killing-Each-Other: Battle Royale (liked it before it was cool) Non-Fiction: The Autobiography of Malcolm X (one of the first things to make me interested in Islam - cannot recommend enough) Author: Dave Barry (He's hilarious; read some of his columns online.) Favorite Music: I used to not particularly care for music, but over the last few years, it's grown on me. This is in no small part due to the soundtrack for Guardians of the Galaxy which is my favorite ever. I also had to research a lot of 90s alt-rock for A Summer at Freddy's, so like Mike, I'm also now a fan of Nirvana. Also, as a little something extra, I'd like to voice my negative opinion of a little group here on FanFiction called Critics United. In my experience, they tend to be white-knighters going around and axing off as many stories as possible. While not as big as they were a few years ago, I've seen several of my fellow authors put blurbs like this in their profiles, and I have to agree. While I myself follow site rules pretty much to the letter, I don't like that other writers can be punished for not following the guidelines, when clearly reporting them is not worth valuable time. If this was, say, a website for professional authors, my opinion would certainly be different. However, this is not the case. It's FanFiction, not Shakespeare. Even though I'm very proud of what I write, I fully acknowledge that at the end of the day, I've written something that is completely unpublishable, as I would be sued for copyright infringement. We're all violating international law by writing this stuff, so the next time you want to call someone out for breaking a site rule, keep that in mind. |
