Ladybug looked back at the building, her brows furrowed. "Did any of you see Chat Noir before the building collapsed?" She bit her lip. "Because he was in there." She kept her voice and face as steady as possible, her gaze fixed stoically on the ruined school building. But Adrien could hear the tremble she tried to hide.

She wasn't oblivious. But that wasn't for lack of trying. No matter how she denied it to herself, she felt the flutter in her stomach. She noticed how she smiled at Chat's over-the-top flirting. He wasn't oblivious. He saw something on Ladybug's face, heard something in her giggle. She felt something. It might not have been strong. But she felt something.

Much longer than Marinette and Adrien had been dating, Ladybug had fought side-by-side with Chat Noir. Even if they didn't know anything about each other, they still knew each other. She would have figured it out earlier if it was true, right?

Some nights Annabeth would wake up, crying out and shaking. Percy was there, every time. She remembered that he was fighting his own nightmares, and at times she remembered his rage. The way he'd slashed through Arachne... She'd seen that glint in his eyes for a second, and then it was gone. Was it her imagination, or... did she still see that glint on occasion?
