Author has written 3 stories for Harry Potter. Hello. What would you like to know? Let's see. This is a bit like a first date. Single lady, no children. (Giggling to myself now. Can't believe I called myself a lady. Has never happened before any may never happen again.) I work in a museum and a bookstore. I love both. I'm more geeky than nerdy, though. (I'd equate my personality with Penny on Big Bang Theory. I have a working knowledge of, patience with, and growing fondness for all things geek. Though sadly I am not incredibly hot.) I watch too much television. I watch too many movies. I get super goofy when I'm tired. And I'm an insomniac. I have elaborate plans for when I win the lottery. I think about it more than normal people do. Out of Hand: My first fanfic! I've always wondered how Muggleborns learn how to navigate the Wizarding world. "Hi. Know how you do crazy stuff all the time? You're a wizard. Let's whisk you away from all your family and friends and shove you into a school where literally anything could happen at any moment. Now you're on your own. Figure it out. Don't get killed. Have fun. Bye." So Out of Hand was born. It is incredibly fun to write. I am writing it as I post it, which is a little nerve wracking. I also don't use a beta, so any mistakes are mine. I try to fix stuff as I find it. Since the chapters are short it is going to seem really long by the end. I have it mapped out in my head...then something else occurs to me, and I have to include it. I try to make a plot point or an important philosophical point in every chapter. No fillers here! I am a sucker for romance. I can't stand immediate "love at first sight" types of stories. That's lust, not love. In order to love someone, you have to know them personally. So this story starts slowly with the romance. It will ramp up. Why Dramione? I love Hermione. There are three heroes in Harry Potter, and Harry Potter is not one of them. The heroes of Harry Potter are Hermione Granger, Severus Snape, and Neville Longbottom. Read it again. And I really can't stand Ron. He reminds me of my older brother in looks and in personality. And the way he eats. I can't stand him, either. So...who should Hermione fall in love with? Harry's too much of a friend. For whatever reason, Draco Malfoy stands out like a beacon. Love/Hate relationships are fun to watch, fun to read, and now fun to write. Humor category? I think I'm funny. I crack myself up. |
