Introduction to Current Works:

"Gonna Die" - in which Soul can help but be attracted to the love of his life...

"Revised" came into existence soon after I watched "Diabolik Lovers" for the first time. Although intrigued by the premise and the animation, I was quickly horrified by the abusive nature of the characters and was left thoroughly disappointed. I attempted to rewrite the anime for everyone else who felt the same way, aiming to provide deeper insight to the interactions within the Sakamaki household. The process required a second viewing of the series - this time pausing in between each line - which was an experience I can only describe as cringe-worthy. I always felt like "Diabolik Lovers" was a failed attempt to portray how real vampires would truly act (aggressive and predatorial), unlike most vampire romances prevalent today, and wondered how a character who's brave and brash would act when facing such a scary reality. The new protagonist, who was born to replace Yui Komori, isn't an entirely original character as her physical appearance remained unchanged from her counterpart. I chose the name Yuuki because it meant "courage", and also because it was a way of poking fun at Yui (who I personally disliked since she was such a spineless main character). One of the reasons I decided to specifically change her name was so that the reader would accept what I have written into my revised version without subconsciously thinking, "That's not what Yui would have done." The second was to help me break away from the canon and recreate the story in a new light.

"Rebirth" is the sequel to "Revised" and was initially intended to be a short, simple follow-up due to the positive feedback I'd received. Previously known as "Epilogues and Extras" before I renamed it, this character-driven story soon surpassed its prequel as Yuuki's struggles were explored in greater depth. The fact that it takes place after the anime gave me a creative liberty that I soon became addicted to. It also allowed me to further develop the Sakamaki family, especially Ayato, whose relationship with Yuuki blossoms over time. The goal of this story is to add to the DiaLover Universe in a way that positively affects the characters within it. I completely dedicate this work to all my beloved readers for their continued support.
