My name is Jane, but I'm more commonly known as Jen or Jenny.

I signed up back in February with a goal to start a Resident Evil fanfiction with the ability for people to send in their own characters for the story. I am proud to say, that goal has been completed. But what else should I do? Well, a sequel of course!

So, on the topic of stories, here are my current/future projects I will be working on.

Never Ending: Resident Evil Universe. Takes place after the events of Tervu, Washington. Six months after the President's speech on the podium, things are starting to go wrong. Leon and Helena must go to an old frenemy after one of their agents go missing, and convince him it is worth his while to help them get her back. Meanwhile, Chris and the BSAA are running around wild, trying to stop infection outbreaks that are starting up everywhere, and they learn that these outbreaks are just hints of something bigger to come. First four chapters will be released on June 4th.

Brutal Awakening: Resident Evil Universe. Takes place after the events of Tervu, Washington. Six months after the President's speech on the podium, survivors from the catastrophe in Tervu are beginning to witness something even bigger than what they have already gone through. The survivors have to band together once more, and relive the events and the pain associated with it in order to stop the United States from being overrun with infected. An input character story. First four chapters will be released on June 4th.

To Choose A Side: X-Men Alternate Universe. The X-Men and Brotherhood take their separate ways with growing numbers as the Government is increasingly violent toward their race. In the end, will they have to join forces so they can survive? An input character story (LIMITED). Chapter releases every Friday (UTC-08:00) Pacific Time.

Carriers: Left 4 Dead Universe. Four survivors are going through challenges they would have never thought they'd have to go through. An input character story (LIMITED). Chapter releases every Wednesday (UTC-08:00) Pacific Time.

I am also currently available for Beta-Reading.

I write because I aspire to be a famous author when I'm older. I also like reading others' stories and giving my praise and criticism, so every story I read will NOT GO UNREVIEWED.

UPDATE 5/10/2014, 8:59 A.M-- So A Cruel, Undead World and Lies and Panic has been finished for only a few hours (not even a full 24) and I've already got 3/10 survivors back. Jordan (Jodie), Jake and Rick will be returning. I know a couple of you have said you will return, but I need character sheets people! I realize maybe not a lot of people read the author notes, and that's okay, but the last two are really important for the sequel. We have time, the cut-off isn't until the 30th. I would love to see everyone back, but if you don't want to return, just tell me and I won't hold a grudge.

Also, I'm seeing a lot of people really confused on the date the story is taking place. The three characters are supposed to be the same age, but you line up their birthdays and it's '90, '91, and '92. So, let me give you a little help. The date the first chapter will be based on is: September 14th, 2014.

10:42 A.M--I was thinking a little bit about the point of communities. My mind was mulling over about how if you think about it, most communities are about couplings or a specific character. Then it hit me. Why don't I start a community for the A Cruel, Undead World franchise (haha I say that as if it's famous)? How this was going in my head is that those who have submitted a character for A Cruel, Undead World or will be submitting one to the sequel Brutal Awakening, can write either backgrounds on those they submit or POVs of the events that happened. And since there are time gaps between chapters, it would be interesting to see if anyone would want to fill those gaps with whatever they liked (so long as it still follows the storyline). So I was wondering, is this something that would interest you guys?

UPDATE 5/14/2014, 9:45 A.M--Carriers has been created and I've already got the first character down! I'm getting a little nervous you guys. My three characters will be returning: Maja, Phillip and Fiona. And the following survivors will return as well: Jodie, Jake, Rick and Lana. I was really hoping to see everyone return, and we've got 7/10. Even if you don't make the cut-off, while you won't appear in the first four chapters, you can still make it to the next few. Prologue for it might come sooner or later, but the first four chapters aren't going to be posted until the 4th of June. Also, I've still got the poll up, because I'm curious to see if anyone would be willing to write mini-stories for a community about this new universe. If I don't get any results on it in a few days however, I'll take it down and just assume that's a no for now. Will check in soon to see if more characters arrive. Until then, live long and prosper!

UPDATE 5/15/2014, 10:42 A.M--Okay. You guys suck. (totally kidding). But I've had one person vote for the community idea and it was maybe, you guys aren't giving me much huh? It's all good though, I'll keep it up a while longer but once Never Ending and Brutal Awakening comes out, it'll have to go bye-bye, so please vote! Speaking of which, I want you all to remember, Never Ending may happen after the events of A Cruel, Undead World but is not the direct sequel. The direct sequel is Brutal Awakening, and is the one I'm accepting characters for, not the other one. I know it sounds confusing, but I'm sure you'll understand once the time comes. I know that in Never Ending, the prologue has some subject mess ups. Please be nice, it's my first time in a while trying to write in first person, considering all my stories have been in third.

I've written up the set-up for To Choose A Side, and will be writing the chapter today to post tomorrow.

Also, all character slots for Carriers has been filled, but you can still send people in for the case of someone dying. Thanks for cooperating you guys, love you all!

UPDATE 5/18/2014, 9:27 A.M--I've been trying to space out these updates, but I just love talking to you guys! So for my poll on the forum idea, I've gotten one person and they said yes...so I'm just going to do it, if it fails it fails if not if not (really bad sentence right there). Also I've decided that I will do the community idea AFTER I receive one story entry by someone other than myself. This means that if you have a character or want to have a character in the ACUW universe and want to write about them, afterwards send me a message and I'll read it AND create a community and offer for it to be in there! I've also got to say, I love the community here. Everyone is so nice and supportive, and I've had very little problems with people (which is surprising, considering the stories I write).

Okay, now for updates. Never Ending and Brutal Awakening will still be on the 4th as planned, and I'm still waiting on three characters I think. I will write a prologue for BA this week sort of as a teaser, and after that is released I will start all the chapters. IF I finish before the deadline and have them all pre-read by my wonderful editor nightsky44, then I will probably release them early...because I don't really like keeping you guys waiting!

Carriers and To Choose A Side will go as planned. Thanks all for reading!

UPDATE 5/19/2014, 7:57 A.M--I have the forum up and running, but it's not finished. I'd love to finish it now but I have pre-testing this morning. I will come back and finish it afterward after making a set-up for Carriers. Feel free to post on it or make new topics, I will take a look at them when I'm back. Thanks for the patience!

UPDATE 5/20/2014, 7:26 P.M--So, until I have the forum completed, I'll keep updating here. I won't have time to do that today, but I don't have much planned tomorrow so I'll do it then! So current updates (YAY!):

Nothing new to report with Never Ending, but with Brutal Awakening we have another returning character, Jasmine Nair, which means only two people have yet to return. One of which I know will, the other I'm not so sure but hope he will.

Nothing new with To Choose A Side either, but I'll be writing Carriers chapter 1 tonight, and I'll have that posted the moment I wake up tomorrow! Hope you all are doing well! READ ON!

UPDATE 5/26/2014, 8:05 P.M--All stories are going well. This update is for Brutal Awakening mostly. I have two people who have not resubmitted characters that were in A Cruel, Undead World and time is running out! There is only 4 days left until the absolute character cut-off for the first four chapters. I'm waiting for Emily Combs by Ebitch and Kenneth Shepard by Rebellion598. While I would love to see both characters make it, I understand if you wish not to continue with the series. Hope you decide to return, though!

IMPORTANT UPDATE 5/30/2014, 10:14 A.M--I'm sorry to say that I am going absent for a while. I have a problem with organization, and those problems cause me to lose interest in my own stories. To avoid scrapping all stories I have so far, I'm going to need time away to figure out what I need to do to reorganize myself and my stories. I won't answer to any private messages until I have fully returned. I will post here when I have, and with any new changes that might come with myself and the stories in progression. Bottom line, ALL STORIES HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. I hope to return shortly, but the process could take a while. I hope some of you will remain patient with me, but if not I understand. Wish all of you well--JenInTheDark.
