Hi everybody! I'm new to the genre, but not new to writing and I hope you'll enjoy what I write as much as I'll enjoy writing it. I used to be kind of scared of fan fiction because I'd heard and seen that so much of it was really inappropriate or disturbing (whether or not the original show, comic, book or other work was like that at all), but some of my friends got me to give it a second chance. They told me about fan fictions that they thought were really well-done and how not all fan fiction had content that I should be afraid to read. So now I've learned to appreciate fan fiction, and I'm learning to find cool stuff on this site.

So, useless babbling aside...

I hereby pledge that in all of the fanfics I post on this website, I will try to the best of my ability to...

...respect and properly characterize all the beloved characters I use in my writing.

...not violate the rules of the fictional universe within which I am working. (Rules being things like how magic works in a given fantasy setting, the history of the characters and the setting, the characters' preexisting relationships, etc.)

...respect the original work. (after all, this is fan fiction, not 'hater fiction')

...never put my own personal issues or desires so far above the quality of the writing that the whole thing just starts to get stupid, although 'stupid' will be a matter of my opinion more than yours.

...use tolerable grammar and spelling, though I will not promise perfection. I apologize in advance for the mistakes I already know I will make.
