I wanted to write something in present time celebrating the fiftieth birthday of Dana Scully. This idea came to me yesterday afternoon and I just went with it till the wee hours of the morning. I felt it best to have it stay in the same genre I have with other stories I'm working on where William has been returned to his birth parents and they have a daughter born in late 2008.

Time changes everything. As the the nature of both her work and her relationship with Fox Mulder changes, Dana Scully finds herself questioning her future as she begins to see an end for their search for the truth in the X-files.
