My inspiration for "Slenderman" -- (Started writing at age 14)

In the end, what interests/amuses me the most is a horror twisted romance. A monster finding feelings for a human intrigued me so much it ended up being the first fanfiction I wrote. I remember my first time playing Slender a long time ago. My brother and friend at the time tricked me into playing it. I was really confused to why they were standing back, so I kept looking closer at the screen, it didn't go well for me. It's funny cause who knew that a year later that I'd become obsessed with that scary game I played and the monster in it. After thinking up tons of different plots, setting and reasons for someone like Slenderman to fall in love with a girl, I finally found one.

My inspiration for "The Origin Of Slender" -- (Started writing at age 16)

I always feel there needs to be a reason behind everything. So I ended up always connecting these reasons to the character's childhood. Because it's the time you're growing up when you find the things you like to love and love to like. Whether it's a stuffed animal, your mom or dad or a certain place that made you feel at home, your childhood is when most of your weaknesses are created/found. This strategy of making sense comes in handy when I'm twisting a horror into a romance. How else would Slenderman fall for a measly human if there was no connection or something special about the girl? So forth, in order for "Slenderman" to make sense, "The Origin Of Slender" is the prequel.
