My new story, The Weekenders is about Keith, a runaway who is trying to escape the life planned for him by his mother in the mafia she works for, The Kingfishers.

While on the run, he meets Marc, a charismatic teenager with a troubled past of his own who can't resist helping people. Without really meaning to, Keith becomes invested in the lives of the weekenders--a group of wayward teenagers who used to be in a support group together and are now best friends. The support group gone rogue sucks Keith in until he is no longer sure he can keep running, and he has to make a choice--stay and fight for his new friends, or run away from his past forever.

Hope you give it a read! It's kind of a crime/mob novel with hints of sappy romantic fiction, and some angst.
