au: dan humphrey is randomly paired with nate archibald to room with in college. nate never seems to be around for the first few weeks until dan walks in on him and his fiancee, blair waldorf. dan's quiet life of studying and skyping with vanessa quickly turns into a life full of more drama than he bargained for

AU: Dan and Blair haven broken up but each have a ticket for a concert. Flashbacks through their relationship from start to finish as well as present day at the concert.

AU : Dan and Blair run into each other at her book signing at his bookstore for the first time in seven years and subsequently find themselves meeting more regularly.

AU - 10 or so years later, Dan is an indie rock musician and Blair is a reporter for Vanity Fair and they see each other for the first time as Blair is scheduled to do an interview with him.

AU: Chuck and Blair's marriage is on the rocks and Blair turns to Dan on the most important day of her year, her birthday. Flash forward to Chuck's hotel opening where Blair is struggling to keep smiling as she forces herself to remain happy in front of both Chuck and his investors.
