Author has written 9 stories for Stargate: Atlantis.

Aiight. I am a 23-year old woman. I'm Australian, born and raised, and passionate about wildlife conservation.

I'm an aspiring author and have been working on my own book series for the last 10 years, and have recently been considering writing and publishing a few fics to wet my toes, so to speak. The reason I have not been a creative member of the fanfiction community as of yet, though I have been reading fics for years, is due to my very annoying and at times crippling social anxiety, a lovely by-product of a severe chronic injury.

I've always felt more at ease with animals and kids than anyone over the age of 15, and to this day still play many games my parents assumed I would have grown out of by now, like playing Jedi, Avatar, or RWBY with my cousins, and I view fanfic as a way of playing in the fantastical worlds that grace our screens that doesn't usually end up with me having to recover from a flare up. So I guess in a way, writing, both the odd fic that I've kept to myself and the novels I referenced earlier, has become something of a coping mechanism for me, though I'm far from settling down from my tree-climbing and monster-fighting days.

Fair warning though, I'm an avid equestrian and I can get a bit carried away if horses find their way into the story. That said, I do try my hardest to keep it casual/fitting the feel of the show's canon. Another thing, if you're American, you may notice some spelling differences- a lot more 'u's for example, and, applicable to just about every country, I do occasionally slip into Aussie lingo, but if you'll bear with me, I will try to rectify anything that's too confusing.

As to that, I hate how this sounds but feedback will always be appreciated. I'm always trying to challenge myself and extend my creative range when it comes to writing, and hearing from readers is one of the best ways to learn what works and what doesn't.

Since I've started getting requests, or rather hints for further stories featuring certain characters I feel the need to state that I simply can't accommodate that sort of thing. I have several medical conditions too complicated to get into, but they make writing physically painful, as well as infringe on my cognitive capabilities. So while I appreciate the enthusiasm and I hate to disappoint but I can and will only write what I am able. Thank-you for understanding.

For those that are interested, you can find me on tumblr istariannafics where you can find character designs, creature designs, and some not-great attempts at illustrating some of the architecture and such in the Shield World arc (Protected)

Last thing I will say, is that while I consider myself part of many fandoms, there are only two that I've ever felt compelled to write for- Star Wars, and the one true love in my life, Stargate Atlantis, so those are the stories you can expect from me, though I make no promises as to how many I will write.

That said, happy reading!
