![]() Author has written 7 stories for Soul Eater, Hetalia - Axis Powers, Scooby Doo, Fullmetal Alchemist, Ouran High School Host Club, Code Geass, Blue Exorcist/青の祓魔師, and Assassination Classroom/暗殺教室. Hello Guys! I know I haven't published anything for a while, and obviously it's because I've been avoiding writing fanfiction for a while. There are several reasons for this, though. In particular, is my issue with writing ongoing chapter stories. As someone who comes up with a 1000 ideas a day, but was never really a planner (especially when I started my earlier fanfiction stories), I would eagerly publish the beginnings of my fanfic ideas without any form of direction or ending in mind, so I would get writer's block for the story really easily. Now that I am older, I enjoy mere musing of any ideas that don't get off the ground, and put some more planning into chapter story ideas that I feel like I could flesh out (if I intend for it to be a long story). However, because I still am very picky about what goes through my internal planning stages, the vast majority of my ideas never see the light of day, and my fleshed out ideas don't end up written or published. So, none of them have made it to published fanfiction yet. I have actually written down many, many idea summaries, drabbles and unfinished oneshots, but none of them were ever complete enough to publish - and because of my problems with unplanned chapter stories, I didn't write much for my already published works. With my multi-chapter stories I started years ago, (with the exception of my Code Geass/Blue Exorcist crossover, which isn't as old and is more of an "outlet fic"), it is also a case of my writing style having changed as I matured through adolescence, and in looking back at my writing style from my old works I see immature wording/tendencies (like shoving "funny" author's notes in the middle of the story) and plot holes that make me realise how desperate they would be in need of rehashing. However, with the directions of some of these stories completely lost, I only feel like going through the trouble of improving/rehashing or continuing a few works that still have direction. -My Hetalia/Soul Eater Crossover has no direction (and I lost my fondness for the former anime; I still might write for Soul Eater again some day, though), and with my younger self's poorly-written immature OC's, I feel like I don't want to bother salvaging it. So, I officially declare it dead. No, there won't be a funeral. -My Scooby Doo/Soul Eater Crossover is currently up in the air, but not exactly optimistic. I did have a vision for the story, but looking back on my younger self's vision for the story, it was based on a few ideas for humourous "key scenes" whose only purpose was to be funny, and (in retrospect), were rather immature ideas that didn't flow with what I already had for the tone of the overall story. I actually really like this story idea (and now that I'm writing this on the profile, I feel more like getting back into writing it again). However, I feel like the writing in the already published chapters needs a good do-over, with some minor plot adjustments, and I feel the story should take a more serious direction than the "random humourous scenes" my younger self had originally intended for the later chapters. So, I will have to create a new plan/vision/direction for the story. So, I feel like I might redo it, but I'm not sure right now. Consider this fic on life support. -The ideas I had for my sequal to my Soul Eater/Fulllmetal Alchemist twoshot "Baby Photos" have faded away, and will probably not come to fruition. I had the first part of the sequel's first chapter done, but I struggled to make it work further. So, it probably won't be coming. I'm not sure if I'll change the ending to "B aby Photos" to be more conclusive in light of this. -My Soul Eater/Ouran Crossover "Secret of the New Host!" is, funnily enough (being that, out of all my stories, I feel it was the one with the most fickle plotholes I tried to bend over backwards to fill in), is the most optimistic of all my old stories. I intend to carry through with it, although I don't have an ending in mind yet, but I am partway through the next chapter and I have ideas for upcoming events. Once I've decided on a story length, I'll try to come up with an ending to make sure I have something to aim towards. Besides, I know my massive hiatus hit during the start of the characters' blooming interpersonal tension, and that was a really cruel place for me to leave you guys hanging. I feel like I need to rectify that. Whether I'll get all the plotholes sorted out well, though...I'll get back to you on that one. -My outlet fic, my Blue Exorcist/Code Geass crossover "This Mask Hides How I Have Twisted", is my second most optimistic. I am actually halfway through the next chapter (having had ideas during my hiatus), and although the next chapter will probably be shorter than the others, I feel the upcoming chapter is important in answering questions about other characters. Besides, I have ideas for other chapters afterwards, so a wait for the chapter after that probably won't be as long. !ADOPT A PLOT BUNNY! I have plot bunnies all the time; some I know I'll probably never get the chance or interest to write. So any I don't want, I post here – and you can adopt them! (Ie. write a story out of the idea). Think of it like a writing prompt. Feel free to build off the base plot bunny and take the plot in any direction you wish! It's at your mercy! If you wish to adopt a plot bunny and use it, then PM me, so I can tell you that you have adopted it successfully and also take it down from my profile afterwards, so no one else can adopt it when you already have. As I previously mentioned, once you have adopted the plot bunny and are writing a story out of it, feel free to take the plot in any direction you like! The plot bunny is only a basic "prompt"-like thing, and the template I use to display the plot bunnies are only templates, if you adopt a plot bunny but you don't like the story title or summary I gave it, then feel free to change them when you write the story. Everything is up to you! The only other request I make is that I would be happy if you gave me credit for the original idea (ie. in the Author's Note "this idea was a plot bunny adopted from Pokelolmc's "adoptable plot bunnies" on her profile). It's not even really a big deal if you don't do that anyway. So, just adopt! :D Most of these are probably going to be anime (but I don't do Naruto, Bleach, One Piece or Fairy Tail. I don't watch those; far too long for my taste) but there will be some other fandoms thrown in. !Here are the range of adoptable plot bunnies! ADOPTION CENTRE "10 Ways to Piss Off a Short-Statured Elric Category: Fullmetal Alchemist Summary: What does Colonel Mustang write in his diary? A list of ways to tick off Edward of course! (Oneshot collection) Characters: Edward E., Roy M. Genre: Humour" ADOPTION CENTRE "Soul Eater – 4-Koma Theatre Category: Soul Eater Summary: Random, short, skits parodying certain moments in the Soul Eater anime. Join the cast of the wonderful and wacky anime as they they play out the even wackier "how it could have gone" moments. Characters: All Genres: Parody, Humour" (Basically like "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood – 4-Koma Theatre" if you ever watched it.) ADOPTION CENTRE "Professor Springfield and the Chamber of Secrets Categories: Harry Potter, Mahou Sensei Negima! Summary: It's the trio's second year at Hogwarts, and a replacement for Quirrell is needed. At the first feast of the year, the whole school is left in shock at the young figure sitting at the High Table who is apparently their new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher. Characters: Harry P., Ron W., Hermione G., Negi S. Genres: Friendship, Suspense (I suppose. I didn't really figure out the genres.)" (Basically Negi teaches DADA in Lockhart's place. Whether its 10-year-old Negi from the start of the series going to Hogwarts INSTEAD of Mahora to teach, a still-training Negi leaving the anime-verse Mahora for Hogwarts or the powerful, trained manga-verse Negi going to Hogwarts with lots of competence for DADA I had not decided; you can decide that if you want.) |
