Anxious, Worn Out, and With a Bad Concussion- ...At least, that's how I spent my entire Cadet training to become a Shinra SOLDIER. It probably would have helped if I wasn't dressing as a boy the entire time, but whatever. I wouldn't have had it any other way. -Takes place before Crisis Core.

This is a story of my OC entering Shinra as a Cadet with the ambition of becoming a First Class SOLDIER. Fifteen-year-old Sapphire masquerades as a boy under the assumption that SOLDIER doesn't accept girls, and condemns herself to misery and misfortune even as she meets two girls on her first day, one of them a Third Class SOLDIER. Idiot.

She finds a quick friend and roommate in Zack Fair, who is entering the Cadet Programme at the same time, along with Will Carmichael the Turk wannabe and tough nut Ash Matthias, the only other girl to enter as a new Cadet.

In her time as a Cadet, she suffers many indignities, gets herself into many sticky situations, and sabotages herself more times than all the other Cadets altogether. She meets many interesting individuals, endures many interesting interactions with said interesting individuals, and will hopefully learn how to be a SOLDIER on the side. And hopefully, all to the amusement of you guys.

The main story goes over her biggest blunders and mistakes, as you'd expect, but there's more that goes on in the Shinra building than just that. Enjoy! Read inside for details! :D

This little story is an answer to your questions and requests for extra, silly, and often extra silly content. I came up with, or reviewers requested, to see a certain scene involving my OCs and I spun it up. Either alluded to in chapters which I'd specify, or just stuff that's a bit too silly to fit in with the main story, because it's so serious and plot-driven.
