Author has written 29 stories for Super Smash Brothers, Legend of Zelda, Ninjago, Fire Emblem, and Ranger's Apprentice. Name: It starts with a 'K' and ends with an 'i' Last Name: Haven't I told you enough?! Away ye stalkers! Age: 20 Profile picture was originally created by blackorchid2007 on deviantart* About my stories Why I write: I suppose that I have always had a bit of a run-away imagination and have always loved to tell stories. I get inspiration from all over the place: my own experiences, history, stories, movies, things I've learned, things that bother me, things I enjoy etc. I really enjoy writing and I hope that that shows and makes it enjoyable to read. Timing: If I have everything planned out and if I have typed out the structure for the whole story, I will update about once a week. If I only have the outline written, school usually gets the better of me so I will update about once a month or later. I also tend to write really long chapters as well. I will try my best to finish whatever I start in a timely manner (though that is sometimes harder to do with any collaboration projects) Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the progress of any of my works (or have any questions in general). How I go about things: When I write fanfiction, I usually really prefer to keep things as close to canon as possible. I will also never start posting a writing project fully until I am sure that I can finish it, and finish it well. I tend to spend a lot of time researching and storyboarding before I actually start writing. My writer's promise: I hereby make a promise to try and finish everything that I start in as timely a manner as possible. I never like being left hanging, so I will try my utmost not to do it to my readers. I decided to write this little section to give an update on the progress of my unfinished stories--mostly because I've been pretty slow and inconsistent with my updating lately (and I know it--and am sorry for it). Finding time for writing has been increasingly hard of late... (which hasn't been fun, especially since writing is one of my most favorite hobbies). As usual, feel free to PM me if you still have any questions about my progress or stories in general. The Demon Sword: I've pretty much got the whole story plotted out (except for a few titchy details at the very end). The only problem now is finding the time and inspiration to write for it. I also recently lost the journal that had a lot of my notes in it, and it's been hard re-motivating myself to rewrite all those chapter snippets again--especially when I have this niggling feeling that, although I remember the gist of what I wrote, I'm not sure I can capture the words as well as how I had them before--it's pretty frustrating. A Woman's Touch: This one was a collaborative work, and I lost my writing partner for it. However, I still loved the story idea and wanted badly to write for it, so I decided I would continue on my own. I did the storyboarding phase and actually wrote several chapters before I lost my notebook (the same one that had my Demon Sword notes in it). I still want to finish and am trying my best to find the time, inspiration, and motivation to try again. Hiraeth: This story is going fairly well so far. the only things that might hold me back a little is school and my new job: things are going to be a little stressful for a while as I get used to everything, so it might cut into my writing time. Quick Update (7/9/20)* I have been having some health troubles and it has been really difficult to focus on my writing. But I have the next chapter about a third of the way written and am doing as much as I am able. Again,. I do apologize for the delay. Upcoming Works/Works to Look out For (By Fandom) I’ve added this little section to list the tentative titles and working synopses of the stories I plan to write/ really want to write and am trying hard to get out. These works are all either in the storyboard phase and/or are partially completed--most of which I have been working on for a while now in my spare time and between projects. These will most likely be among the next new stories that I will post (and I’m hoping dearly for the time and inspiration to write for them in earnest). If there’s any that you’d particularly like to see from the list below, feel free to send me a PM and let me know and I’ll try to divert my focus to it. Ninjago When We Were Young…: But not quite so carefree. Series of what all the Ninja’s lives were like when they were about Lloyd’s age (Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane, Nia/ Action, Adventure) Five Times: The five times that Kai helped the other Ninja and the one time that they all helped him. Takes place after the events on Chen’s island with a few tweaks (Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane, Nia, Lloyd, Sensei Wu/ Family, Hurt Comfort) Hearts of Stone: A nefarious group has managed to take over Ninjago, hunted and in hiding the ninja are forced to resort to unconventional methods to try and stop them. But how much can be truly be done to stop an organization that’s already defeated them once. (Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane, Nia, Lloyd, Sensei Wu/ Action, Adventure) Fate’s Edge: Sensei Wu was killed before he managed to get the four ninja together. Four teens now struggle to survive in a world that is crumbling apart. AU (Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane, Nia, Lloyd, Sensei Wu/ Action, Adventure) Been There, Done That: Garmadon accidentally unleashes a curse that causes the day to repeat continually. Kai, the only one to remember, struggles to stop the time loop before he loses everything he cares about… or is driven completely mad—whichever comes first. (Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane, Nia, Lloyd, Sensei Wu/ Humor, Action, Adventure) Legend of Zelda Link and the Wolf: “He had no real memories of his past, of his old friends—just flashes of scenes, sounds, and images that painted a half-written story, that left him with tantalizing hints of emotion and feeling, but ultimately lacked the depth of a whole and unbroken memory. What he had most, and what had mattered most, was the memory he’d had and started building since he’d woken and the new acquaintances and friendships he had made for himself in this new life… Which was probably why, he realized then, why what had happened had hurt so very much. But at least he wasn’t alone.” (BoTW Link and TP Link in wolf form/ Action, Adventure) Ranger’s Apprentice Life or Something like It: Pritchard’s life, as he’d known it, had ended the moment he’d been banished from Araluen and stripped of everything he’d ever known; and Halt had never had much experience with what most people happily termed as life. Although it wasn’t perfect, together they managed to cobble together something better than a simple existence—both for themselves and each other. (Pritchard, Halt/ Family, Hurt Comfort/ Takes place before the Early years series) Messanger Hawks: Will decides to try and train a hawk from the Mountains of Rain and Night to carry messages for the Ranger Corps. Unfortunately training it successfully turns out to be much harder than expected. In hind sight though, that turned out to be a rather good thing. (Will, Horace and Evanlynn/ Action, Adventure/ Takes place around the time of The Lost Stories) Hides: Will finds himself climbing a tree after playing Greybeard Halt one too many times and discovers something interesting. And that something might just end up holding the key to helping him devise a plan to save his mentor when he finds trouble. (Will, Halt, Crowley, Gilan/ Action, Adventure) What’s Found in Ice and Snow: “Never be too quick to rush into things,” The memory of Halt’s warning rang in his ears with all the condemnation of regret—regret he hadn’t heeded it when it mattered most. And now, stranded and alone with Halt’s life in the balance, it was already far too late. And what was worse was that he had no idea how he could fix it or make it right. (Halt, Gilan/ Action, Adventure/ Takes place during Gilan’s apprenticeship) The Art of Disguise: A pernicious group of slavers have been striking certain areas of Araluen and desperate times call for desperate, or rather unconventional, measures. (Evanlyn, Alyss, Horace, Will/ Action, Adventure/ Takes place around the time of The Lost Stories) Ruthless: “Are you alight?” Will ventured hesitantly, mentally kicking himself for the stupidity inherent in that question. A faint mirthless smile tugged at Gilan’s lips. “No,” he answered honestly. Then he looked up to meet Will’s gaze for the first time in days. His eyes were no longer dull or empty; instead they shone with… something: determination maybe, or perhaps something darker. “No I’m not… but I will be.” (Gilan, Will, Halt/ Drama, Hurt Comfort/ Takes place around the time of The Lost Stories) The Sound in Silence: “You already know what I think.” Halt said shortly. “But it’s a valuable learning experience,” Crowley pointed out. “Only for those who need it,” Halt said, crossing his arms. Crowley sighed. “I can’t just exempt your apprentices from all training missions.” “Why not? They’re smarter, more skilled, and better trained than most apprentices in the Corps and you know it. Will has already done more during the few years he’s been with me than most our Ranger so in their lifetimes. He doesn’t need it.” “It’s just not the Ranger way, Halt. These missions are tradition—part of an apprentices’ training. Building teamwork with the Rangers they’ll be working closely with later is vital.” “Tradition or not, a team is only ever as strong as its weakest member.” And now they had gotten to the heart of the problem, Crowley knew–the real root behind Halt’s ill feelings. “Teams can be stronger than individuals because they pool together everyone’s strength,” Crowley tried to reason with him. “Funny, that isn’t what happened last time.” Halt was growing angrier now. “You can’t base your opinion of all training missions off of that one incident!” “Why not? It seems a reasonable assumption.” “Because that was the first time before or since something like that has ever happened.” “That doesn’t change the fact that it happened,” Halt said bitterly. He could still remember that night, remember the horrible silence, the sight and smell of blood, the feeling of being utterly helpless. Crowley could guess at what he was thinking and put a hand on his best friend’s shoulder. “We’ve put better safety measures in place since then; I have put better safety measures in place. Nothing like that should happen again.” “You can’t know that for certain,” Halt said, pushing his hand away, “I am not risking my apprentices—I am not risking Will for the sake of reputation or tradition.” (Halt, Crowley, Gilan, Will/ Family, Adventure, Hurt Comfort/ Takes place after The Battle for Scandia) Ranger’s Apprentice/Brotherband Crossover Gambit: "The Ranger appeared suddenly again as if by some black, malevolent, spell, this time in the middle of the great hall, pushing aside the people who stood in his way as he headed with unerring purpose towards the King himself. And there was not the slightest shadow of a doubt in Duncan’s mind as to his intent. The rouge Ranger’s shadowed gaze was fixed on the throne as he headed forwards. His pace wasn’t at all fast, but rather measured, confident, and challenging all at once. He wanted to be seen. He wanted Duncan to know he was coming for him. He wanted Duncan to know the bloody debt that had been amassed between them was about to be repaid in full. He was coming for him. The Ranger cleared the milling people in an instant, his bow appearing in his hand. Purposefully, almost slowly, he drew an arrow from his quiver to place it on the string of the weapon. “Stop him!” Duncan shouted, rising from his seat and pointing towards the hooded apparition. The guards stationed at either side of the room near the wall, picked up immediately on the shrill note of tension in their sovereign’s voice and followed the line of his pointing finger. Minds as filled with the same dark whispers, tales, and rumors of hatred and revenge as their King, they raced forwards form their position in a desperate gambit to save their liege.” (Halt, Gilan, Will, Horace, Duncan, Evanlyn, The Herons/ Action, Angst/ takes place directly after Scorpion Mountain). Fire Emblem The Point of No Return: After the war with Plegia, Robin, finding herself disenfranchised and bored with no pressing duties during peacetime, winds up making a small ill-conceived mistake with disastrous consequences. Suspended from duty, she embarks upon a quest to try and make things right only to stumble upon a deep rooted problem with devastating implications, setting in motion a series of events from which there can be no return. (Chrom, Robin, Gaius, Lon’qu/ Action, Adventure) The Trouble With Living in Tents: Chrom’s army has had to make a lot of sacrifices in order to save Ylesse, living accommodations among them. So many people living in such close quarters is the equivalent of an accident waiting to happen—where just the smallest mistake could lead to disaster… or lice. Which, if you think about it, is generally the same thing. (Chrom, Vaike, Gaius, Robin, Lon’qu/ Humor, Family). The Mother Walks With Me: Though the war is over, complete unity and peace remain out of reach. Several groups of dissidents have arisen to rebel against the idea of a unified kingdom. Alm and his knights have been hard-pressed to combat them. Mila enacts a desperate plan to try and help her people before her death is complete and she’s gone forever. Perhaps her desperate choice of ally could have been better. Berkut redemption arc. (Berkut, Mila, Lukas, Alm, Forsyth, Python/ Adventure, Friendship) Ill Fortune Favors the Unprepared: After the war, Forsyth is determined to have a peaceful, relaxing, vacation and drags his two best friends along with him for the ride. Unfortunately absolutely nothing goes according to plan. (Forsyth, Python, Lukas/ Adventure, Friendship). |
