Boring is a worse word than Terrible.
PLEASE USE PARAGRAPHS PROPERLY! The goal is not to make your paragraphs even in size. It is grammatically incorrect to have two people speaking in the same paragraph, not to mention confusing.
Pokemon fics can get really boring with fights. Just remember that in the manga, the trainer is not separated from the battlefield. In the battle of good and evil, neither sides would be so civilized
Not-Rules for Pokémon
- Always have you main character find their first or second pokémon injured so they can save them.
- "Are you a girl or a boy?" is always a fresh way to start.
- Waking up late is always a fresh way to start.
- Eating breakfast is a fresh way to start.
- Pikachu is not required for Ash, but Aura is.
- Animals don't exist, except for ravens.
- Always depict at least eight badges being earned.
- You must always start the story the day(or the day before) the main character gets their pokémon.
- It's illegal to raise a pokemon before leaving on a journey, even for sixteen year olds.
- The bigger you plan your scope, the more epic the story. Especially for your first story.
- Lucario must be used because everyone else uses him. Get with the times.
- Species names must be capitalized because lawyers and programmers did so.
- Include pokéspeak. Pokémon never make animals sounds in the other forms of media
- Go through 25% of the story before introducing the plot.
- Someone else abusing pokémon is a the closest you can get to a moral dilemma.
- People abuse pokémon because they hate having weak pokémon and no other reason.
- Only pokémon from awesome species that are worthy of the trainer's attention get abused by bad people.
- Being nice is a novel character trait.
- All moral issues with pokémon slavery are resolved by being polite while commanding them.
- Champions have nothing to do with their lives so they spend their time hanging out with new trainers.
- Arceus appears to every interesting trainer at the start of their journey.
- Older teenagers battling preteen trainers is good drama.
- Older teenagers fighting deadly gangs who murder is mature.
- Have bad guys pull out a gun because bullet dodging skills are awesome.
- Having 6 pokémon as a limit is boring because taking care of pokémon and raising them to champions is an effortless task.
- Steel type moves make pokemon immune to everything.
- You must show the trainer getting their first pokemon.
- All moves the pokemon perform must be yelled by their trainer. If the move needs to be a surprise, the other trainer will not hear it.
- Your concept for a story is new. No one has ever tried to make the games more realistic.
- All stadiums are full all the time, no matter the event. Despite trainers being common, thousands will show up for small tournaments.
- Put in legendaries on you main character's team. The reader will never expect that.
- "Facade" is and super mysterious and intelligent word you can impress everyone with.
- Use your summary to give the reader the opposite impression of your story's bestiality content.
- Prophecies should confirm success.
- Prologues should detail everything the main character will succeed at.
- Basing a story on a Nuzlocke means that constant murder doesn't make a character evil. Only saying mean things makes a character evil.
- Paragraphs only end when you get up to take a break from writing.
- Pokemon are as intelligent as people and must be shouted at by a human every three seconds to do a basic battle.
- Evil people want eevee. Good people get eevee.
- The Nuzlocke fandom does not know the Nuzlocke rules, so always put them at the beginning of your story.
