Hola, amigos! (Okay, now I'm going to stop pretending I can speak Spanish...)

My name is Rachel, but I will go with whatever random nickname you want to call me, and I live in the tiny Arabian peninsula of Qatar! If you guys are wondering, I'm not Arabic. I'm Irish, but I've been living in Qatar since August, and Kuwait for a year before that. The Middle East may not be everyone's picnic, but I love it. It's hard living in the desert after beautiful, grassy Ireland, but I love the souks and the markets, the camel racing on Saturdays, and the simple, traditional clothing. Just out of interest, does anyone know if it's acceptable to wear a headscarf in the Middle East if you're not a Muslim?

I miss a lot of things at home in Ireland. I miss my big brother and sister, my aunts, uncles and cousins, my friends and my dog, Rosy. So before you flame me, try think about that, yeah? I'm sick of people flaming me.

On a lighter note:

I have a dream - wait, sorry, that's already taken. I have an ambition, then; I want my profile to be a place where you can always find the story you need. This means I will take all requests (or almost all). If you have a story idea but can't be bothered to write it, then I'd be happy to write it for you. I know what it's like to want to read something but it doesn't actually exist. For the time being, I'm just writing based on what I like, but I really want you all to give me suggestions!

IMPORTANT NOTE: I'm working on expanding my story-writing to different languages too. I can write in French (shabby, but still), but that's really where my languages end. I can write in Arabic, but it's so impossibly horrendous and my vocab is so limited that I'd never actually publish in Arabic.

But you guys can help me there! I was just looking over the people who read my stories (I have 70 reads on one of my stories from Finland, which is awesome), and it turns out that there are TONS of nationalities who read my stories! It would be fantastic if some of you would translate one of my stories for me. So, if you're looking for a bit of a job and happen to speak a language other than English fluently, PLEASE PM ME! I love getting to know people from other countries, and I really would like to expand my stories.

Right then, I'll be off now. If you want to chat, feel free to PM me. I'm always open to new friends from far-off places (I have friends on here from Seoul to Ohio! How awesome is that?) and I often get lonely here, so it's nice to have people to chat to.

UPDATE: I'm sorry to say I won't be updating this account for the forseeable future. I do love fanfiction, and would like to come back to it at a later date, but at the moment, with my hectic schedule and exams coming up soon, any time I do spend writing I want to dedicate to my original fiction. I don't want to delete this account, or deactivate it, as I do hope to come back to Fanfiction.net some day, but for the time being I won't be uploading anything new, or updating any of my stories.

I am really sorry to be doing this, but please don't think of it as an end. Think of it as a Fall Out Boy-like hiatus period.
