Author has written 13 stories for Fairy Tales, Batman Begins/Dark Knight, Mass Effect, Twilight, Star Wars, Superman, and Star Trek: 2009. I'm quite new to the whole fanfiction thing, but I'm enjoying it. I used to really enjoy writing when I was younger, but stopped while I was at University. At the moment I'm working on two pretty big pieces of work. They're described below. Star Wars Beginnings and Endings - This is a (planned) trilogy of novel-length stories based around the Star Wars extended universe. I've currently written one part - called Victims - which I'm no where near happy with. I did plan on re-drafting it, but I've put that on the back-burner until I've finished first drafts of all three. I figure once they're finished I can go through all of them and make sure that the tone and style are consistent at the same time. I'm currently working my way through the second part, which looks like it'll be around two hunderd thousand words if I ever get it finished. The stories are set 200 years after the end of the original trilogy. A lot of stuff happens in the EU in those two centuries, and a fair amount of it is referenced in my stories, though I've tried to work in summaries. My aim in writing these stories is just to prove to myself that I can finish something as substantial as this. Tales From Gotham - Fanfics based around Chris Nolan's Batman films. These stories are a little different. The original idea was to have five stories focussing on different characters, running concurrently, side by side, which would both stand alone and also combine to create a cohesive, multi-layered, whole story. Of these five stories, I've completed a first draft of one so far - It was Ramirez - and i'm currently drafting another - It's not who I am underneath... I'm relatively happy with both of them at the moment, though I will be redrafting them once all five stories are drafted. Since I came up with the original concept, I've written some other, much shorter stories based around the same idea. They're much more throwaway, as they don't really add much to the whole. I have also recently started to write more original material - short stories only, at the moment. My FictionPress.com profile is here; http://www.fictionpress.info/u/888840/alanish2 Check it out. |
