AU. A celebration at the house of Batiatus brings together an unlikely pair: one of the lanista's gladiators and an esteemed guest's body slave.

AU. When Lucretia appoints Agron with a task he cannot perform, Tiberius - a slave within the house of Batiatus - takes it upon himself to provide a little inspiration.

After defeating Glaber's army, the rebellion finds itself once again lacking in numbers. They move to free a caravan of slaves, but among those slaves is one in particular that causes a stir - and one Agron feels the need to protect against all things.

Following the fall of the house of Batiatus, Spartacus and his army of freed slaves travel Rome to unshackle those still in chains. When the group liberates a villa, the gladiator Agron encounters a former slave named Nasir. The following is their story.

Agron and Nasir encounter Roman soldiers on the road and in the ensuing fight, one is called closer and closer to the afterlife.

A mission to Neapolis ends in disaster when Nasir is captured by Romans looking for Spartacus's location. What the Romans didn't anticipate was the man who would most feel Nasir's absence and would do anything to have the Syrian back in his arms.

Agron regales Nasir with stories of his days in the arena, and they talk of what it would have been like, had Nasir been in the stands, audience to the gladiator's fights. The very idea of watching from afar drives Nasir into Agron's nearby embrace.

Nasir takes up the sword again on a mission for the rebellion, but his actions therein begin to haunt him. He looks to Agron for comfort.

While the rest of the rebellion sleeps, Agron and Nasir satiate their desire for one another.

What is meant to be a simple mission is compromised when Agron's jealousy gets the better of him.

Following Nasir's injury, Agron challenges the Syrian to show that he's ready to take up the gladius again. The two clash swords but in the end it's two clashing bodies that determine whether strength has returned.
