Author has written 2 stories for Pirates of the Caribbean.

Well, it's been quite some time. I actually forgot that I was a member on this site, and that I'd actually written something...I'd like to think that my writing skills have improved since then. That could just be wishful thinking, though. I enjoy acting, listening to music, taking pictures, messing around with Photoshop, obviously reading and writing, and juggling. I was born in Wisconsin, later moved to Illinois, then moved around Virginia for quite some time. I returned to Wisconsin with my family about a year and a half ago, and I am now a freshman in college at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. I haven't picked a major yet, but I have gotten involved in the theatre, and I'm considering a major in it, or possibly communications or social work. Basically I'm extremely undecided. I've completed one semester and am in the process of completing a second. I like to keep up on current events, though they usually just end up depressing the hell out of me. I've recently become interested in global warming. If you haven't seen Al Gore's documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth," check it out. We should all know a little bit more about it. Politically, I'm quite liberal. I'm relatively sarcastic, which I think tends to come across in my writing, so...consider yourself forewarned. I have a few ideas for PotC fics floating around, so I might see what I can do there. So here's some stuff that may (or may not) interest you:

FAVORITES:

ACTOR- Still Johnny Depp, without question. He is the most talented actor of our, and probably any, time. He has such a natural talent, and I love the fact that he doesn't get wrapped up in what people think about him or thrust himself into the spotlight to get attention from the paparazzi. It's highly refreshing.

MUSIC- Any and all types of rock. I love Green Day, The Misfits, The Distillers, Hellogoodbye, Ima Robot, Quietdrive, Houston Calls, Jack's Mannequin, Brand New, Hot Hot Heat, Death Cab for Cutie, The Postal Service, Alkaline Trio, AFI, Amber Pacific, Bayside, Cake, Coheed and Cambria, Everclear, From First to Last, Jimmy Eat World, The Matches, Mindless Self Indulgence, My Chemical Romance, Panic! at the Disco, Silverstein, Sugarcult, Stroke 9 (purely for the "Kick Some Ass" song), Something Corporate, Billy Talent, Radiohead, The Killers, Blink-182...the list just goes on and on.

BOOK- I love the Earth's Children series by Jean M. Auel. It took almost an entire summer to read them (it is a series of 5 and counting, approx. 3,500 pages), but well worth the time. Also, The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough...probably one of the most romantic books I've ever read. I'm a bit of romance junkie, I won't lie. I love 100 Demons, a graphic novel...Please Kill Me is amazing. It's an oral history of punk music and the punk lifestyle. I think my all-time favorite book, though, is One on One by Tabitha King (Stephen King's wife). Just amazing.

MOVIE- Well, I could take the indecisive way out (while saving you all some time) and just say most all of Johnny Depp's movies, but my absolute favorites of his are "Chocolat," "Don Juan DeMarco," "Edward Scissorhands," "Dead Man," "What's Eating Gilbert Grape," "Pirates of the Caribbean," (1 and 2) and "Benny and Joon." It pained me a lot to play favorites, to let you know. I'm also a big fan of Tim Burton movies. It works out nicely that Johnny Depp often has the lead role in many of his films. Aside from Johnny Depp movies, I love "The Princess Bride," "The Time Machine," "Pride and Prejudice," "Little Miss Sunshine," "The Crow," "RENT," "Sin City," "Garden State," "Donnie Darko," "The Butterfly Effect," "Elephant," and "SLC Punk!".

FIC STATUS:

"Your Heart Will Lead You Home"-Earth's Children book series-REMOVED. This was a one-shot about the beginning of Durc's search for his long-lost mother, Ayla. It was not well-received, therefore I have chosen to remove it to maintain my ego.

"Never Afraid to Feel"-Pirates of the Caribbean-COMPLETE. this is a Jack/OC romance. The first few chapters are rather Mary-Sue, I must admit, but it was overall well-received. I really do think my writing has improved rather significantly since then, though...or at least I hope so.

"Only in Dreams" - IN PROGRESS. Another Jack/OC romance (but in a much different way...trust me on this). Claire, a barmaid at a tavern in Tortuga, fell in love with Jack years ago. They spent several passionate nights together, but he left her one night, leaving a strange medallion in his place. However, unbeknownst to Jack, he left more than that behind. What could the mysterious medallion be? Trust me, if I can get things figured out, it will be better than my cheesy summary sounds.

So happy reading! You may be seeing more from me in the near future. ~Misty Addams~
