Most are extremely brief, all will be stand-alone vignettes, completely unhindered by plot. ;-) Some sweet, some bittersweet, some humorous, some poignant, all romantic. This is an old story from 2012 that was deleted by my haunted laptop a while back. No kidding. Uber-angsty, ultra-violent, terribly torturous, heart-wrenchingly romantic Matt and Kitty adventure that will (hopefully) entertain you for fifty-five long, dark, foreboding chapters. I'll attempt to post two chapters per day, one in the morning and one in the evening, to speed this potboiler along. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this crazy fic, six years in the making, flies.

I would have called this "Much Ado About Nothing" but some guy took that title already. This fic is awfully short on plot and long on sweet romance. The end. You might be better served reading the fine print of the Publisher's Clearinghouse Sweepstakes rules. No, honest to pete.

Kitty waits for Matt to come home after his rescue from desperate prison escapee Lon Gorman & his gang. ATC for b&w Season 11 ep The Hostage. There were a lot of angsty, shippy scenes for Kitty in this episode-with Doc-but the show ended with a big chase and gunfight and no resolution for Kitty or M/K fans. Here's my attempt to help out a little bit.

Matt's Love Story ATC; Continues where He Restoreth My Soul left off.

Matt's Love Story ATC. An attempt to right the wrong that was done Kitty Russell.

The following is a combination MM/ATC for Season 2, Episode 21, "Bloody Hands" written by John Meston, directed by Andrew V. McLaglen. This fic assumes that Matt and Kitty are not yet a couple. In "Bloody Hands" the shooting of several members of an outlaw gang, although in self defense, triggers an emotional crisis in Matt. Kitty is there to help see him through it.

Matt searched for some sign of the Kitty he knew and loved, a woman full of fire and sass, outrageous beauty and gritty determination. Was she still in there? Or had they broken her? ATC for Hostage! This is a sequel of sorts to Finding Kitty, and contains brief references to that story.

ATC for Daddy-O, Kitty Lost, and Kitty Caught. A pre-M/K-relationship story-how the great love story might have begun.

Matt Dillon shoved open the front doors of the Long Branch, striding in with a blast of frigid air and swirling snowflakes. The raucous pounding of the piano keys stopped, partygoers froze, crystal punch cups or beer mugs hung in mid-air, mouths gaped at the sight he made.

In the words of the Bruce Springsteen song: "Grab your ticket and your suitcase, thunder's rolling down this track. Well, you don't know where you're going now, but you know you won't be back..."

ATC for Hostage!, an episode that haunts me, like it does most people. This is just my attempt to give it some closure. The fourth and last chapter was written mostly by my dear friend singerme.

The bedroom door slammed shut and Kitty Russell tackled an unsuspecting Marshall Matt Dillon with a vengeance, sending him sprawling backwards with a grunt onto her bed.

Louie Pheeter's mind raced as he peered down at Miss Kitty and Marshal Dillon from atop the bar at the Long Branch, a smoking shotgun in his quavering hands, wondering what in tarnation he was going to say to all these people…

"But, Doc, I'm a U.S. Marshal." Matt's tone was anguished. "I'm sworn to uphold the law, but tonight I broke the law."

"You're gonna' make Buck over there jealous…" Matt's lips hover near my temple as he protests, "Apples? Buck never gets apples…"

No life stirs save a single, solitary figure cloaked in red, moving soundlessly and purposefully down the boardwalk towards an unlocked door, the whipping wind her only companion.

I gasp helplessly, feeling myself slipping and finally falling… falling…bright lights filling my unseeing eyes. Matt, are you still there holding me? Don't let me go, Cowboy. Please hold me tightly…

"Goldmine" ATC. Smokin' hot, melt-your-drawers romance in the Long Branch Saloon...

ATC-Seven Hours to Dawn. While Matt mends physically, Kitty needs a lot of emotional healing with a little help from her closest friends.

"Come on, Kitty, tell me the truth. You said he made you feel like a woman." He challenged her in a low voice as he hung his hat on the rack, "Did you kiss him?" She heard the key turning in her office door as he locked it behind him...

Grabbing her skirts and the bottle of champagne from the picnic basket, she heads barefooted for the edge of the water, her red hair blowing in the breeze as she calls out, "I'll be back, Cowboy. Don't do anything without me…"

He makes his way up a wooden staircase to an unlit bedroom containing the most desirable woman in town, whom he dares to hope will share with him her considerable charms. Not to mention he needs to retrieve his best hat in the process…

Kitty sighed and surreptitiously gave Matt's backside a covert squeeze. He gave a little yelp and hopped through the door, turning back to shoot her a look. She simply arched a brow at him and smiled slyly in reply.

Kitty tipped her head back, closed lushly-lashed sapphire eyes, and shivered as Matt threaded his fingers through the tangled, shining strands to release them, copper red and flowing like liquid fire, down her bare alabaster back.
