I'm a freshman in college, who loves to read fanfic. English is not my first laguage, but it has become the only one I am semi-good at. ( I was born in Germany, and that was my first languagem however, I have forgotten most of it since moving to the US of A. For a while I spoke "Denglish", but now my english has improved, and noone can tell that I'm not ACTUALLY American...I hate when people say that, as soon as they learn that I am not from here, and that I wasn't born here...ANYWAY MOVING ON!

I love reading a good fanfic. I find that the best way to sort through the good and the bad is to look at the number of reviews. The more reviews a stroy has, the better it seems to be. That is, if all the reviews are NOt from the same person. If there are too many stories to sort through, I use the "number or words" option... usually, the more words the better, and then I look at the reviews and go from there...

I go through obsessions. First it was Lord of the Rings, then Star Wars, then Last of the Mohicans... I discover something, become obsessed, watch it about a milion times, read all the fanfic I can find about it, decide to write my own...and then move on. From all my obsessions, only one fanfic has actually been written/published. ( and I am rather surprised that I have only good reviews...looking back on it now, I see all my spelling mistakes and cringe... maybe I'll go back and rewrite it...)

my favorite fanfic genres are as folloews (there are many books/movies/tv-shows that I lsomply adore, but are just not fanfictionable... ):

MOVIES: Star Wars (han/leia) , Last of the Mohicans (alice/Uncas), Timeline, Miracle, Mighty Ducks (Dean Portman..enough said), Newsies (my current obsession..and I am SO sick of the crappy writing... ARGHHHH,...I just might have to write my own..), Pirates of the Carribean, Fast and the Furious (dom/letty and nothing else), Braveheart, Gangs of New York, Titanic...and others that I can't remember at the moment...

BOOKS: Lord of the Rings, Phantom of the Opera, Harry Potter ( yes, I am a Draco/Hermione Fan..I can't help it...Tom Felton is so hot...), Jane Austin.\

TV SHOWS: One Tree Hill (NALEY!!!!!), Buffy (Buffy/Angel) and Battlestar Galactica (Sharon/Helo, OR Cally/Chief...)
