Well, first things first: I'm female, in my twenties, British (hence the strange spelling, for all you guys from the US!!), recently graduated from university but now studying for yet another degree, (am I insane?? I want to carry on studying??) and I fancy myself as an author. Never had the guts to actually write for fun as I dreaded being crap at it, which is why I admire all the teenagers (and younger) who post on . That's the sort of courage I never had, and I applaud them for it.

I'm in the middle of a LOTR fic, and have just finished reading The Unfinished Tales, (having read the LOTR trilogy and The Silmarillion a while ago), and I'm just as hooked, if not more so now that I've got three of Tolkien's books under my belt.

I've recently discovered the joys of having a beta reader, having always scoffed that they're a waste of time. Now I wonder how I ever lived without her. :oD

Have I left anything out? Does anyone actually ever read these bios? Is there really life on other planets? Am I ever going to shut up? Probably not, so you might as well review what I've written so far, cos I'm not going to go away otherwise!
