Once upon a time, in the magical land of Plum fanfiction, a friendship was born. Sonomom was reading a killer story by a talented writer, latetolove, and she was compelled to PM the author to compliment her on a wonderfully well written and entertaining story. Latetolove responded by PMing back, thanking sonomom for her kind words. Latetolove confided that she was a fan of sonomom as well, and PMing became a regular occurrence.

PMing eventually gave way to emailing, and the friendship grew. Late night missives with burning questions like, "Is it normal for a mature wife and mother to be so deeply in love with a fictional Cuban sex god?" were answered with "Yes", and the friendship solidified.

One early morning sonomom was awakened with a scene in her mind that wouldn't go away. She went to her computer and transcribed the scene, just as she saw it. She entitled it 'chapter one' and emailed it to latetolove. Latetolove responded by sending 'chapter two' back to sonomom and a story was born. With no outline, plot or story direction, they continued.

These two geographically diverse writers have continued their chapter exchanges, and look forward to posting their story "Thirteen Coins" very soon. They look forward to sharing their collaboration with fanfiction readers.
