My avatar is from a comic drawn by Kate Beaton of Marie and Pierre Curie. I love the idea of a woman from the nineteenth century wearing petticoats and holding an Erlenmeyer flask while her husband gazes at her adoringly.

A little about me... My hobbies include baking, working out, listening to music (I LOVE the Magnetic Fields), reading romances with a good plot, and fanfiction. My aim isn't to improve myself as a writer, I read and write fic purely for fun. I'm also surprisingly good at Angry Birds. :D

My fangirl-level obsessions include: Jane Austen (Emma is my favorite), LM Montgomery books, the X-Men movies, and the DCAU! Finding comic books where I live is somewhat difficult, but now that everything is digital, I've been keeping up with those as well. So much to read, so little time!
