Dave lives with his wife Rita and their son Christopher in Westminster Maryland, USA. Although Dave is the publisher of the Anna Grayson series, the work was created by his daughter Katie O'Brien who passed away in March of 2005 at the early age of 13. Katie worked on Anna Grayson and The Order of Merlin for three years and wrote most of the text while going through her chemo treatments for Leukemia in the hospital. She finished the book just six days before her passing. Katie has published several short stories leading up to her work on The Order of Merlin.

Dave wrote Katie's second Anna Grayson book entitled, Anna Grayson and The Dragon's Lair, from a premise Katie left to her family. Dave has also written an original story of his own entitled, "Time Expired".
