Author has written 3 stories for X-Men: The Movie, and Sherlock.

Um, so what do you need to know about me?

Female. Bachelor's in English, thinking about grad school but working right now as a copy editor on technical manuals for a company I won't identify because they don't like employees posting stuff about them. It's an entry-level position and the most boring possible work in my field, but at least it's in my field and I can think about my story while I do it.

For people who want story help: I am not a beta. I don't want to be a beta. Not even your beta. I would make a terrible beta. The thought of beta-ing horrifies me. I want to hide in the nearest closet at the thought of being called on to beta. If you want a beta, there is a clickable link at the top of the page which says 'Beta Readers'. There you will find willing volunteer betas, lots of them. (If you don't know, a beta is someone who reads your chapters and suggests changes before you post them. Some also provide plot help.)

Before you ask me to read and review your story, consider what I do for a living. If you have egregious grammar, punctuation and spelling errors, I will tell you what books you should study. If your errors are so bad I can't concentrate on what your story is about, I will tell you so. I will not correct your writing for you. In order to get better as a writer, you need to learn how to edit yourself. Yes, I slip up myself from time to time; everybody does. Let me know and I'll fix my mistakes.

Also, leaving a one line review like 'Wow I love yr story its great. Can you read and review mine?' and then expecting an in-depth and extensive review of each chapter of each of yours is unrealistic. You get what you give. If you can't be bothered to really read and comment on my story before you start making demands, then don't bother at all.

For those who have this great idea for a story and want someone to write it for them- Ideas are the easy part, the fun part. If you can't be bothered to write your own story, why would I want to? If your idea was that great, you would have no other choice except to write it yourself. It would be going through your head like a movie day and night. Characters would be interrupting your thoughts with dialog. You would eat, sleep and breathe your idea. If this is not the case, I have plenty of my own ideas, with more cropping up all the time.

If you want a collaborator:I do not want to collaborate with anyone at this time. I want to write my own story. The only person I can really see collaborating with at some point in the future is my sister. Anyway, she wouldn't be asking through this site.

Thank you,

Cory
