YLoki was undisturbed in the library for a long time, and was practicing some of the new spells he had learned. Suddenly, he heard the sound of footsteps behind him. Someone was trying to sneak up on him, and was doing a very poor job of disguising their footsteps. Loki smirked, there would be only one person who would try and find him here. "Right here. And Thor did nothing. There was nothing he could have done; he had never felt so powerless before as he watched his younger brother slip away from him"

Loki hit the ground. Hard. His body groaned with protest as he stood up, smoothing stray strands of raven hair that had fallen into his face. Green eyes blazed as he faced his attacker. "Thor," Loki sneered, "surely you can do better than that."

"He belonged in the shadows. Blending in with the darkness, he melted away from them; because for them, he was never more than a shadow."

"The clank of chains echoed of the walls of the dark cell as Loki adjusted himself. The sharp metal cut deeper into his skin, causing a fresh stream of blood to flow down his arms. They had wanted to see him break, but he would never give them such a pleasure. He would stay here, imprisoned, but would not ask for mercy."

"As Thor approached his little brother, Loki looked up at him for any sign that he didn't want to do this. Anything. But Thor would not look him in the eye. He cupped Loki's chin in his hand, lifting his face upward, lifting the needle and long leather chord in his right hand."

Loki was alone in his room, a sliver of moonlight coming through a gap in his curtains. He was tangled up in his sheets and covered in a cold sweat. Loki swallowed a wave of nausea and fear that overcame him again. As Loki reached the door of Thor's room, he threw open the door and ran inside the room.

"The cool breeze blowing over Asgard, ruffled Loki's hair and sent chills down his spine. It was midnight, or close to it. Loki didn't know nor care how long he had been standing there, on the balcony. Wisps of magic energy danced around his fingers, making patterns in the thick darkness."
