Hi, my name is Sara and I guess this is my profile (and one that needed to be updated). What can I say about myself? I am twenty two (and can no longer use teenage angst as an excuse for things) and am in my second year University for Psychology. I want to become a Psychologist and work in mental health. I love books and have taken up a challenge of 50 books a year as the 100 seemed a little out of reach. My Favorite books are: A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones), Harry Potter, Divergent, Vampire Academy, The Maze Runner, Gone and a numerous other stand alone and historical books. I am a writer and have written close to 200 poems, 2.5 books, 18 fanfictions (?) and numerous book ideas and quotes that plague me. My Favorite TV shows are Supernatural, Criminal Minds, Spartacus, anything by Joss Whedon, Family Guy, that 70's show yada yada. I have a lion head rabbit named Dusty and she is my favourite creature on the face of the planet. Many of my stories are OC and I will try and say so in the summary so don't come to complain to me if it's not what you want. I am open to talk and to answer questions to whoever who may have them but if you are snarky to me then I will return in kind. I wish you all well. And if you're not tired enough of me already I'm also on Tumblr: http:/// Currently: 3:10 to Yuma. New Work (Non Fanfiction) - A scream shattered over my head. I froze, finger raised above the "s" key and leaving the word unfinished. I felt the seconds tick by - empty - and felt mutually stupid and cold by the lack of explanation after. Kids playing road hockey and an approaching car - a warning to the teammates that the road did (surprise, surprise) have another purpose. Exhaling deeply I slid down in the chair, toes arching on the floorboards and one of them cracking. "Why should we accept you to our school?" The question stared back at me in terrifying Times New Roman. Bold. Why should you be deemed more important than a thousand other people? What makes you different? What makes you special? Truth is I'm not. I'm completely and utterly average. I don't go far on either edge and the only incredible thing about me is that I'm bi racial AND French. But that's not really a good opening sentence. Thoughts? |
