I'm a British gal in her 40's(yes, it is time I finally grew up!). I'm an amateur historian, numismatist and genealogist, and some would say an amateur human being. LOL When my hands cooperate, I'm also an amateur artist.

I enjoy all kinds of books in the fantasy, myth & magic genre and historical fiction too.

My favourite fiction books include: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Manda Scott's Boudica series, George R R Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series, Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, Bernard Cornwell's King Alfred series, C J Sansom's Shardlake series and throw in some Bronte too.

Favourite TV shows over the years have included: Xena, Buffy, Angel, X-Files, Bones, Doctor Who, Sharpe. Game of Thrones, Ripper Street, Penny Dreadful, Forever, Wentworth, Vikings, Gentleman Jack, A Discovery of Witches, Legends of Tomorrow, Outlander, Star Trek, The Crown, Wynonna Earp...

My favourite pairings in the Harry Potter fanfiction world are: Hermione/Ginny, Hermione/Fleur, Hermione/Tonks, Ginny/Tonks.

In my own writing: I write for my own entertainment, not for critical acclaim or gaining access to another trumpet to blow. I've shared some of my work here for a bit of fun, so if you hate it, sorry I wasted your time(I can't give you back those minutes and hours) and if you enjoy it, then that's a bonus. If I get the time I try to reply to most PMs and reviews asking specific questions or answer questions in the relevant chapters' A/N notes.

I never post a story unless it's finished or nearly finished, so will never change a thing about it to please, or pee off, an audience. I annoy myself plenty of times with my daft plots and plot holes. Half the fun. :)

Dec 2019: After getting a little disillusioned with the sometimes toxic nature of things on this site, I had debated never posting another story. However, I'm going to risk my sanity and hope to soon.

Trolls are a fact of life on the internet. One of my stories seemed to be a real troll magnet. On the one hand I was annoyed by it, because it was also peeing all over the people that enjoyed it, on the other hand, a friend said to me that I must be doing something 'interesting'(right or wrong) to attract so much psycho behaviour. :) So if I get a swarm of trolls I'll do what I always do, delete and not read guest reviews. I might let a few through just for laughs, or the fact that I have a real life and I'm not attached to the bloody internet 24/7 to deal with them. :)

I always write with a bit of humour and tongue in cheek, I also love 'gallows humour' in those serious moments when something peculiar just becomes hilarious. Living with some challenging health problems has been more bearable by employing gallows humour. Never take anything too seriously, life is too short.
