Author has written 2 stories for Aliens/Predator, and Naruto. There's no such thing as a bad writer. Everyone have their preference in what they like to read in a story. Many may like it while others hate it, but that shouldn't stop you from writing your passion on to a screen or paper. Even if people keep bugging you for an update or bug you about your grammars, but still love your story, just be flatter and enjoy that they're taking their time from their life to sit down and read your imagination. Just give it your best, kay!? =) I know for sure the first time I had a bad review(on AFF/FF) I wanted to stop writing and damn near cried, which I'm not ashamed of. But then I realized, why should I stop doing something I love to do during my spare time? So for all the writers who had written good stories but had stopped because of bad reviews, just shrug it off and think of your positive reviewers, because they're your supporters who stood behind you despite the grammar or whatnot. Many writers probably use their imagination to escape the realities surrounding them. I know I'm one, especially during the night, where I mostly hear police cars, car chase, sideshows, gun shots, people getting into fights and blah blah blah. And what better way to drown out those horrid noises by putting on your headphone and putting your focus on your stories. So don't stop what you're doing because it would be a shame to let your imagination die. |
