Author has written 13 stories for Megamind. As my previous monicker (RetiredEditor) says, I am indeed a retired editor, a current writer, and probably more than twice (if not thrice) the age of most denizens of FF.n. Nonetheless, I am a staunch believer in the value of good fan fiction as a part of our personal participation in folklore — but I'm also a big believer in grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. If you're going to put yourself before the public via your writing, you should make it the best you can do. As a fan writer back in the days of printed fanzines, I had a considerable body of work inspired by the original Star Wars trilogy. I've also written tales for Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, the Real Ghostbusters, Lord of the Rings (book, not movie), and have had a few crossovers that wandered into the genres of Quantum Leap, Hook, and Atlantis: the Lost Empire. While I have no single favorite movie, I readily admit that my favorite authors are J.R.R. Tolkien, Anne McCaffrey, Katherine Kurtz, and Gordon R. Dickson. As I am not young, I've dabbled in many careers and interests, which have included a variety of graphic arts, costume design, other fabric arts, botany, astronomy, publishing, music (I sing, write songs, play a number of instruments, and compose symphonies), and, of course, writing. Some of my photography and art can be found on my deviantArt account, under the name Sevandor; my LiveJournal, such as it is, also uses sevandor, and the few tiny home videos I've ever made (largely of Cave Point in Door County) can be found on YouTube under sevandor1. |
