Author has written 40 stories for Shaman King, Anime X-overs, Dragon Ball Z, Shanghai Noon/Night, Yu-Gi-Oh, Harukanaru Toki no Naka De, Yes! Precure 5, Utena, and Pirates of the Caribbean. My pen-name is Setsumi-san, but I usually address myself as Setsumi. I'm a former staff writer and camera woman for my college newspaper The Voice . My first published articles were about the Giving Tree, the top ten holiday gifts for two-thousand seven, and the psychology club's polygraph lecture. My first camera project was about our district flag football tournament. I'm also currently a member of three honors societies including Phi Theta Kappa. In November twenty-eleven I started my professional YouTube channel to diversify my journalism portfolio. I am a huge fan of anime, and plan to either be a print journalist or television series writer. I don't miss high school and can safely say that it's totally different when you start college. My favorite kind of music is dance and techno, although you'll occasionally find the odd band like Flogging Molly amongst my taste. Tobacco Island is the best song ever! My top three favorite shows are or were Shaman King, Dragonball Z, and Revolutionary Girl Utena. My favorite manga titles are NANA, From Far Away, Tokyo Mew Mew, Godchild, Guru Guru Pon-chan, and Gaba Kawa. I'm now more into anime for slightly older girls like NANA and Honey and Clover though I'll always be a fan of the classics. Many of my stories are romances between Shaman King's Lee Pyron and Tao Jun. I think they are so cute together but have sworn never to write anything heavier than a makeout scene between them (for obvious reasons.) One of my Pyron/Jun stories, Snapshots, even won syaoran no hime's Inked award in October 2003. My first original work on deviantART was called "Songs of The College Student." Sadly, you probably won't see me contribute too much there because I am so busy. I was known as "JSF" in my earliest days of fanfiction writing. This was an acronym for Jurokugou's Sole Fangirl. However, I quickly realized that it was unwise to have a pen name that anchored me to a single fandom and changed it to "Setsumi-san." I would feel fantastic if somebody chose to write fanfiction about my work one day. In the meantime, the Queen of Pyron/Jun will be at your service as much as possible. Misc. Why do you love Dragonball Z's Jurokugou so much? Because he's so kind. As a jinzoningen (android) he was created for the sole purpose of killing Son Goku but managed to learn to love life and the beauty of nature. As a result of that he changed his mind. He is always putting others before himself (ex: when he protected Juhachigou and Junanagou from Cell and unselfishly sacrificed himself during the Cell games) Plus he can royally kick butt and he's HOT :) What inspired you to write fanfiction? I wrote poems as a hobby anyway and when I was surfing the internet I discovered fanfiction and what it was. I read more than I wrote at first, but when I posted "I Finally Know" it felt so good to get feedback that it became a hobby. Okay, you're a hopeless romantic, so what do you think is the greatest love story of all time? The Tales of Sir Lancelot and Queen Guinevere, hands down. I love Arthurian Legends and the stories of dashing knights and their ladies just suck me in. Current Shipping Binges: Philip/Syrena, Pyron/Jun, and Touga/Saionji Current Romantic Status:Happily taken! (You are my Seasoning Prince, Sheo-chan! I love you more than anyone in the universe!) Well that's me in a nutshell! Thanks for readin' my bio. :) Disclaimer: All of my fanfiction is written for entertainment purposes only. I, Setsumi-san, am making no profit off of these stories and never intend to. |
