Yet again, this profile is sorely out of date...

Anyway, my real name is Eric, and I've been a fan of anime and manga for a long, long time now. I'm 23 currently (my birthday is August 15th, so just update from there for each year beyond this update from henceforth), and I've kind of had a long-going off-and-on relationship with FFnet.

Back in the very early 2000s, I was a goofy script-based fanfiction writer, mainly in the Legend of Dragoon section, as I was inspired by three old friends who inspired me to write fics to begin with - the legendary Dee, Kee, and Raps. Wherever they are now, I wish them well in life. Then, script based fanfictions were removed, so I left as well.

A few years after that, I returned with some big ideas for a DBZ fic (more on that below), but yet again, I found myself pulled away. Now, I return yet again, to hopefully get some new fanfiction going very soon, as a side project to my own original writings that I hope to get published in the near future.

Anyway, there's no telling what fandoms I'll actually write fanfiction for, but here's just a short list of my major interests to give you a brief idea: Dragon Ball, Yu Yu Hakusho, Fullmetal Alchemist, Rurouni Kenshin, Digimon, I"s, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Gurren Lagann, Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star, s-CRY-ed, Soul Eater, School RUmble, Summer Wars, Fruits Basket, Ouran High School Host Club, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Maximum Ride, Narnia, Jurassic Park, Animorphs, TMNT, Godzilla, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellboy, Marvel, The Legend of Dragoon, Metal Gear Solid, Persona 3 & 4, Kingdom Hearts, Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokemon...and way too many more to list.

Away from here, I work at a hotel and am working on becoming a published author. I'm a moderator on both the official FUNimation Forums and Shohan USA; I'm an active member on Kanzenshuu and Technodrome forums; and I also used to run my own forum, Gyt Kaliba's Anime & More.

Note - To get the big elephant out of the room, I have to make a major apology to any readers and old fans of 'Bardock's Legacy', which you'll notice is now removed from the site. I'm not proud of how long I let that hang out down there, despite how popular it seemed to have been, even years after there had been an update. I will finally say it now though - I have absolutely zero plans to ever finish that fanfic.

Things have changed since I began writing that story. I've grown a lot older and my writing has become better (at least, I'd like to think so), I have more things going on in my life, and all of that. First and foremost, for the fic though, the fandom has changed, at least within me. I began that fic when I was only a dub watcher of DBZ, so everything in it was based on the old dub. While I am still a fan of that old original dub, I have since watched the original Japanese version as well, and find myself liking the consistency of that version, or the new Kai dub, more than the old material. I'm just a slightly different kind of fan now than I once was.

The main thing that turns me off from ever continuing that story however is that there's really no need now. The main idea of my story, of any story I do, is to make it at least attempt to fit snugly into the universe it's from. I'm not the biggest fan of complete AU situations. Before I wrote this fanfic, 'Super Saiyan Bardock' was nothing but a fan dream. Now we have 'Episode of Bardock', and games featuring that form for the character. The nostalgic need for my fic is no more.

I'd like to thank everyone who enjoyed that fanfiction and posted reviews, even long after it had been forgotten by me, but most of all, I'd like to apologize for leaving it hanging. I'm sorry. If you never trust me or want to read any of my fanfiction again, I can't blame you one bit. If you are willing to give me another chance, hopefully I'll have something of interest to you again very soon. Thanks.
