Age: 23 (PS: I got the Saiki K. category on this site apparently...I'm kind of a big deal...) Description: I'm weird; live with it! PM me for questions about my story; seriously, do it anytime. Just be cool Cast list: Brendan: "Great Pokemon trainer, terrible person." Japanese VA: Tomokazu Sugita English VA: Micah Solusod Team: Swampert, Flygon, Sableye, Leafeon, Beedrill, Furret Brendan is the self-proclaimed leader of the group. He generally is known to be very sarcastic and overly confident in his abilities and even a little immature; he doesn't like to admit that he's wrong even if it's obvious. He will often insult his friends relentlessly; but despite his words, he truly cares for them. Out of everyone, Wally appears to be his best friend; probably the one who takes his abuse the most. He is the champion of Hoenn; he doesn't tend to enjoy talking about his family and considers his finding his Pokemon to be the highlights of his life. It is hinted that he has a therapist in one chapter; but he shrugs it off as he mentions it. He seems to hold some disdain over Ash and the others due to their "white meat" personalities, but he is willing to tolerate them. Despite his cocky attitude, Brendan in reality is very depressed. He admits at points how abusive and neglectful his parents were. Not only that, but he takes his own failures very seriously. Deep down, he could be seen as very insecure; if not for his group. Because of his relationship with his parents, he sometimes feels bad when he hears about people being happy with their families. To contrast this, Brendan is incredibly kind to children. He feels that children should have someone to look up to; especially if their lives at home aren't perfect. To the shock of his friends, he becomes a completely different person around children, and will drop everything to help them. Brendan's softer side also extends to his main group. He never sees any of them as weak opponents; and encourages the group to never hold back against each other in a battle. One of Brendan's driving points of the story is his dynamic with May. When the two first met, the two ended up costing each other dumplings. After this, the two were nearly always at each others' throats. But after help each other with training and getting to know each other more, the two become incredibly close. Despite the teasing, the two often support each other. As the series progresses, Brendan admits he's unsure whether he has romantic feelings towards May. Lucas: "Nobody can love Lucas the way that we can love Lucas, and we cannot stand Lucas!" Japanese VA: Takahiro Mizushima English VA: Leraldo Anzaldua Team: Infernape, Drapion, Galvantula, Riolu Lucas is the supposed brains of the group in terms of book smarts; he isn't very bright when it comes to street smarts due to working in Professor Rowan's lab alongside his father, thus not having a lot of experience with other people his age, resulting in a lot of awkward comments from him and weird looks from others. Despite this, Lucas is a very likable person; he is incredibly polite and always willing to help people in need. In terms of battling, he is the weakest of the four, but has the drive and determination of a champion. His goal is to complete the Pokedex. When he first meets Dawn on the island, he notices her beauty and immediately develops a crush on her which she reciprocates. The two soon begin dating and are known to be an extremely "lovey-dovey" couple. Despite his awkwardness, Lucas is known to be a genius. Able to pretty much create anything out of nothing, he always finds a way to make an invention-that he hardly ends up using. Not only that, but while most of his inventions work, they almost always have very strange primary effects. Lucas is also known to be somewhat naive. He often pushes himself too hard in order to help someone, even if they are clearly using him. Sometimes winding the group in very dangerous situations; that being sad, it makes him that much scarier to others when he becomes mad. Wally: "He might not get noticed, but he notices everything." Japanese VA: Miyu Irino English VA: Joel McDonald Team: Gallade, Roserade, Delcatty, Magenzone, Altaria, Sceptile Wally is the only game rival to be accepted into the group of friends. He is incredibly shy and timid towards new people, yet he still treats them with respect. When he first meets Brendan, he wanted a Pokemon to begin his journey with, while he was initially scared, Brendan helped him capture a Ralts and come out of his shell slightly. With his dream of becoming champion in his sights, he will occasionally challenge Brendan to battles, with Wally coming out on the losing end; the battles get closer every time. When it comes to girls, the contest star Lisia takes a liking to him due to his good-natured heart. While terrified of her at first, he eventually warms up to her and the two begin dating. Every now and then, Wally gets a little too excited. Due to being sheltered for so long, he can sometimes lose focus during a battle, causing easy mistakes. He also gets incredibly embarrassed afterwards; not liking to let this side out. Overall, Lisia has had an interesting effect on him. She's brought out his confidence quite a bit, and generally makes him a happier person. On the other hand, she often ropes him into situations without his permission and often gets him into trouble. However, Lisia always does her best to put Wally's happiness above her own; so Wally strives to return the favor. Calem: "You people and your emotions." Japanese VA: Hiroshi Kamiya English VA: Eric Vale Team: Greninja, Rhyhorn, Ledian, Cubone, Espeon, Umbreon Calem is the strongest of the four trainers and the Kalos champion. Unlike Brendan and Lucas who have dynamic personalities or Wally who is generally nice; Calem is generally the coldest, most distant, and emotionless of the group. He used to be a happy child, but changed once he saw his father, a famous Rhyhorn racer was killed during a race, thanks to two mysterious figures. Because of this, along with being a prodigy trainer as a child being bothered by the paparazzi, he sheltered himself from the rest of the world. It is unknown how he met the other boys, but he is willing to consider them his friends. Due to the events of his childhood, he is known to be very close with his mother. He is revealed to have known Serena since he was a child and considers her one of the closest people in his life. He does display a soft side for his Pokemon, particularly a baby Cubone he adopts and a Ledian that is normally with him. Like Lucas, he isn't necessarily street smart; thereby making most of the things he says a little uncomfortable for others; yet he initially means no harm. He also appears clueless at times, especially considering Shauna's not-so-secret crush on him. In reality, Calem has a strong sense of honor. He believes that everything has value and that nobody should be fighting without a purpose to strive for. Not only that, but he's somewhat protective of Serena. The two have been childhood friends and are rarely seen fighting. This partially explains his butting heads with Brendan; the latter constantly harassing Serena with insults. Calem also has a tendency to have issues trusting people. Whenever meeting new people, he tends to give them more of a cold shoulder. However, he tends to be right in most situations, so the group rarely seems to be bothered by this. Voice: "To be honest...I hate all of you." Japanese VA: Shinshū Fuji English VA: Kyle Herbert The voice is boss of the four boys. He supposedly has the power to see into the future and control all living things in this universe. He was the one who placed the boys in the animeverse, but he was initially reluctant to do so; thanks to the possible changes in the timeline. He is known for being very harsh and at times cruel to the boys; but this is known to be tough-love as he will always give the boys advice when they need it. It's revealed he is very stressed out with his job and at times, very lonely; despite having a wife. Despite receiving complaints for how the universe, animeverse, and gameverse, he chooses to do little-to-nothing to remedy said complaints. Lisia: "I guess nobody compares to my guy!" Japanese VA: Kana Asumi English VA: Cherami Leigh Lisia is the niece of Wallace and the Idol of the Hoenn region. Accompanied by her Altaria named (*sigh*...Ali), she is known as the top Coordinator, possibly in the world. Thanks to her mentoring May, she quickly becomes friends with the group. As a child, her family was very poor and found it hard to make friends due to her being a celebrities' niece. As she became an Idol she became very "experienced" with other guys. Despite this, she is very friendly and willing to help people; but is also ready for a fight. She quickly develops feelings for Wally and pursues him until they begin dating; according to Wally and Calem, Lisia is one of the scariest girls on the planet. Friendships: Brendan and Wally: Brendan and Wally have known each other since they began working and immediately became friends. Wally was one of the few people who understands Brendan's more positive side and learns to deal with it along with sarcastic side. Brendan has helped Wally with his shyness and skills as a battler; and although Wally is grateful, he one day wants to surpass Brendan. Lucas and Brendan: Despite Brendan ribbing Lucas for his niceness, the two are very close. They both enjoy anime and more or less share the same sense of humor and often confide to each other for advice. Brendan has admitted that out of the four of them, Lucas is the smartest and he feels no shame for that. Brendan does groan at the fact that Lucas and Dawn have so much PDA, but he treats them both with respect...for the most part. Brendan and Calem: Even though Brendan and Calem are the strongest in the group and both have issues in their families, Brendan and Calem do not get along as well as one would think. Brendan is annoyed by Calem's aloofness (possibly due to jealousy), while Calem doesn't particularly enjoy Brendan's snarky attitude, especially towards his childhood friend Serena. Despite this, the two do share a close bond; both hide their softer sides and ironically have bonded through their struggles. Calem has stated that Brendan has never beaten him in a battle; although he keeps to himself the fact that he respects Brendan as a trainer and as a friend. Calem and Lucas: Lucas tries very hard to be Calem's friend, while Calem wants little-to-nothing to do with Lucas. Calem finds Lucas' optimistic attitude to be somewhat annoying and at times thinks Lucas is completely worthless. Despite this he appreciates Lucas' attempts to bond with him and provide help such as when Calem told the story of his father's death. Both seem to have some trouble restricting what they say due to the environments they've lived in, but they mean no harm. Wally and Lucas: Both of the boys confide with each other in relationships and also train together. Wally considers Lucas a perfect opponent considering how close they are in skill. Wally and Calem: Wally probably annoys Calem the least out of the group. Both of them consider themselves the most normal and are often trying to be the voices of reason, to no avail. |
