Author has written 1 story for Labyrinth. I'm a new fanfic user (at least I am as I write this - for all I know you're reading this in the year 2036 or something 'cause chances are I won't be updating my profile any too often . . .). I'm trying it out, and it's been a lot of fun so far. I'm a biology-majoring college student who is poised to graduate in two months. (FINALLY.) Academics tend to dominate my time and energy (being pre-med'll do that to ya) but I've got plenty of other interests, and I'm even good at one or two of 'em. I like writing, but I currently lack the creativity to come up with characters all my own. Perhaps someday I can make the quantum leap into original-authorship, but until then I'm just having fun practicing my composition by playing with other people's creations. A note on my current project: UnRiddling the Labyrinth arose out of my need to satisfy my own curiosity about what happened to Sarah and Jareth after the events of Labyrinth. (If there is one work of fiction I know of that absolutely screams for a sequel it's Labyrinth. Although there's plenty of Labyrinth work out there - and some of it is pretty decent - I just had to give it a shot myself.) To give you a sense of my literary taste, here's a sample of my bookshelf: The Phantom Tollbooth Neverwhere The Chronicles of Narnia LOTR (of course) Middlemarch Spindle's End All Creatures Great and Small The Book of Three Children of the River The Scarlet Pimpernel (yes, I know it's sexist, but I can't help it. I just love Percy.) Till We Have Faces The Screwtape Letters The Great Divorce The Gammage Cup A Midsummer Night's Dream Devil's Cub The Witch of Blackbird Pond Mara, Daughter of the Nile Walk Two Moons A Swiftly Tilting Planet The Princess and the Goblin The Monster at the End of this Book (Grover is adorable!) If you haven't read any of these books then do yourself a favor and order them from the library RIGHT NOW! |
