Hmmm, my profile disappeared. Wonder if there's some deep meaning there?

Anyway, I'd just basically mentioned that I am a recovering lurker. :) Happily addicted to fanfic for years, but I haven't posted anything since back in the days of the X-Files and John Woo's Once a Thief - I think we were still posting on usenet back then ... While I do try to drop a line or two to the authors whose work I get such a kick out of, I've finally kicked myself into posting something. So, here we go: a couple of initial stories, written pretty much for my own amusement. I hope that someone out there reads them and can put the experience on their list of "Good Things That Happened Today."

Well, coming *this* close to losing all your the files on your computer is a bit of a first-world problem, I know, but I am glad I managed to recover some of my old stuff, including these ancient stories I wrote back in the day (see above). Posting them here in case (both) my external hard drives go kaput.
