3/30/2017: Pretty sure this is the longest stretch I've ever gone without updating anything. Hell, I've barely even been on this website at all! I'm hoping that will change though, because I haven't been completely inactive in those two years. I have been working on some stories, at least one of which is nearing completion and I will hopefully start posting soon. The others will probably take a while longer - one of them in particular, because it's so in depth and involved it even will probably overtake That's What You Think as my longest and most involved story, if I can ever get it done. But pretty much for the last year I have been travelling, finished my Master's degree, moved cities, been working 6 days a week at two jobs, lost 20lbs and started gaining some of it back because of injuries, etc. Hopefully my life will be slowing down a little soon and will allow me to spend more time writing, both fanfic and original fics. We will see what I get done during Camp Nanowrimo next month! Anyways, going to update my Life Movie Soundtrack thing down below now and then head to bed. Just wanted to give anyone who happens to stop by my page still a heads up that, yes, I'm still alive and yes, I'm still writing. You will hear from me soon!

4/11/2015: Wow, it's been almost a year since I've updated this! I know I've been MIA but it's been a crazy year. I've done some traveling, been busting my ass in grad school, got a new job that has me working less hours than retail but is twice as demanding, had some family issues, you name it, it probably happened! But while I've been working slowly on my own original fiction I have been trying to stick to my fanfic roots, since without the experience here, I wouldn't be half the writer I am today. Unfortunately, my writing times are few and far between and the ones I do have I spend on my original fictions. However, I did just post a new story, my first non-Harry Potter story ever! It's crazy for me, but I enjoyed writing it, as sort of a way to dip my toe into the Lake of Other Fandoms. The chosen fandom is Arrow, the ship Olicity, and I have latched onto that like you wouldn't believe. If you haven't seen the show, you definitely should! The first two seasons are on Netflix and it will consume you. I almost wish I hadn't gotten into the show until it was already all over, like 10 seasons long, so I could binge watch it all. Now I'm stuck waiting each week for the new episode, and I don't even want to think about what I'm going to do in a month or so when there are NO new episodes. Probably just start the series over again.
Anyway, I just want to let my Harry Potter fans know that I am still working on various fanfics for that fandom. Just because I have a new obsession with Arrow does not mean I have forgotten my Potterverse stories. They are coming along slowly, but they are coming along!

8/10/14: Hey guys! So I am working on the last chapter of SOV and I have also recently posted a Rose/Scorpius oneshot titled Diagon Alley. School will be starting soon-ish again for me, so my posting of new stories will probably have to wait awhile unfortunately. I have two that have been coming along swimmingly - All Kinds of Backwards and Avoiding A War - and then the others in the poll have been coming along more slowly. The muse is a fickle thing. Anyway, I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and I will do my best to keep posting! Much love!

4/2/14: I feel awful I promised better updating skills and I was wrong. The lighter courseload I thought I would have this semester turned out to be a LIE. But I have been writing again, so I'm hoping that at some point in May I'll be able to just finish SOV altogether. Everyone has been waiting for the newest chapter for forever, so I don't want to make anyone wait any longer.
Side note, I read the Divergent series! I saw the movie the day after it came out - hadn't read the books yet - and immediately went to get the first book. I devoured that in about a day, and within two days had finished the trilogy. Holy crap, it was so intense and so ridiculously awesome and just OH MY GOD. In case someone hasn't read Allegiant, I won't spoil it, but I have been playing with the idea of writing a post-Allegiant fanfiction or two because I just really didn't like the ending, and I know I'm not alone in that.
But anyways, I hope everyone's year has been going well and nobody got pranked too severely for April Fools. I did no pranking BUT my best friend did trick me and a bunch of other people into thinking she was dropping out of college a month before she graduates!

But here is the updated list of descriptions for the stories in the poll:
All Kinds of Backwards: Lily/James, at Hogwarts. Lily is the pursuer and mischievous one, and James the pursued and well-behaved one.
S.O.V.: Rose/Scorpius, after Hogwarts. They are forced into hiding together and they really aren't that fond of each other. Well, Rose isn't very fond of Scorpius.
Why Falling in Love With Your Best Friend Is A Bad Idea: Katie/Oliver, after Hogwarts and Final Battle. Best friends who live together, gets complicated when Katie gets engaged to someone else. Especially since Oliver is kind of maybe just a tiny bit in love with her.
Avoiding A War: Rose/Scorpius, at Hogwarts. They hate each other with a passion, but Scorpius has to change that to prevent another war.
The List: Rose/Scorpius, in Hogwarts. A frienemies-with-benefits relationship, following a list of rules they make to keep it from getting complicated.
Fraud: Rose/Scorpius, after Hogwarts. Scorpius is accused of a crime, and Rose has to help him clear his name while avoiding testifying against him.

My name is Lauren, and I am a work for Harley-Davidson. Got questions about riding gear? I'm your girl. Got my Master's in History on my 24th birthday.

I have a wonderful boyfriend of four and a half years. I love to read, and currently own over 500 books. Since I live in a small apartment, this is not the best but I can't bear to part with any of them. I have tried various times to write a book, starting from when I was about 11 or 12, but obviously back then I had no concept of character development or anything like that. Now, with 31 fanfictions under my belt, I have a slightly better grasp on what it takes to make a story work and now just have to push myself to complete one and do something with it.

I love the New York Giants, an American football team. I'm not really into other sports and am just a huge football fan.

I love to crochet and knit, as well as bake. So I am a little old lady, at the ripe old age of 23.

Harry Potter is obviously my favorite fanfiction world, as that's where nearly all of my stories are set. I used to be an avid reader and writer of Lily and James, Ron and Hermione, and Harry and Ginny, but then turned more to NextGen fics. I also love Oliver and Katie stories, and believe that there are not nearly enough stories about them. I have also read fanfics from various other worlds (Thor, Arrow, Snow White and the Huntsman, Once Upon a Time) and recently started writing Arrow fanfics. Words cannot describe how much I love Oliver/Felicity (aka Olicity). *sigh*
