My main original character, Zelda, has been a part of my own personality for over twenty years. Her world seems almost as rich as my own, and perhaps that's why I enjoy using her and my other originals so much in my stories. Although the Mighty Ducks allowed me to really expand my writing universe, my fic spans several different fandoms. I wander where I'm inspired to, and my original characters serve as personal bridges between the familiar and the unfamiliar. In the end, my writing is purely selfish - spun from a desire to simply put characters in certain situations, and see how they would react. The results are cathartic, wrenching, and redeeming.
