About Me:

I have been an avid reader of fanfiction since I was 12, but I only began writing it maybe three or so years ago when I grew impatient of waiting for my favorite stories to update. I began my first fanfic Matters of Black and White several years ago and found the experience to be greatly rewarding and enjoyable.

I tend to write stories that either focus on villains or deal with themes of coping with tragedy and grief...or both. I find fanfiction is a great way to expand on themes that the original stories might not have the time or means to explore to their fullest extent. My preference is for long form fiction, as I really enjoy the whole process of painstakingly planning out a full story arc and developing motifs and themes. However, I am interested to try my hand at shorter pieces as inspiration comes.

I'm not the most prolific writer, since these long projects are many months in the making. (For example, Airmid took seven months of pre-publication prep, and then six months for the full WIP to go up.) Intriguing story ideas are also pretty few and far in between. But if you have any prompts you think my style would be well-suited for, shoot me a PM and we can talk about it! I'm trying to slowly expand my horizons and take on elements of stories that push me a bit out of my comfort zone (e.g. romance, dear lord).

Completed Works:

Matters of Black and White: "The paths Shen took in the past seem only to lead deeper into darkness. But through the eyes of those who have woven themselves into his life, a new story unfolds-one leading away from old misery and guilt-that may yet bring him redemption."

Diverges from canon halfway through the movie and takes the opportunity to explore a different possibility for Shen's fate. The story is told through four perspectives: Shen's, Po's, the Wolf Boss's, and an OC Min. Though Shen is the centerpiece of the story, all four of them experience their own personal struggle to come to terms with their pasts, who they've become, and what it means for their futures.

Airmid: After the death of her mother, MK quits nursing school and removes herself to her father's home in rural Vermont to regain her sense of self. A strange experience leaves her shrunken and stuck in the middle of a deadly conflict between two factions. As MK struggles to return home, she finds her fate becoming increasingly entwined with people from both sides of the war.

Epic 2013 reimagining that greatly expands on the canon universe, character relationships, and opposing viewpoints in the original. Another multi-perspective fic that focuses on developing deep relationships and complex interactions between all of the characters, greatly expands on the canon antagonists and their society, and deals with themes of loyalty, grief, family and friendship.
